"Is he more than a friend now? Is that why you are here? Although if he was, would he appreciate this?" he pints between us, and I- gods I hate his smug face.
"I will have that glass of wine now," I mumble.
He wordlessly hands me half a glass of red, and I don't even hesitate to take a sip. I need it.
"he told me I a complicated," I admit, feeling deflated. "he said I was a bad person."
"You are complicated." I give him a look. "and a bad person."
"I do have feelings, you know? Why does everyone think I don't and think they can tell me hurtful words and I will just come out of it unscathed?"
"and despite all the bad behavior," Michael goes on. "I still like you. I like how soft you are, how open you are, even though you try to hide. You are so innocent sometimes and naïve too; it makes me want to corrupt you. Part of the reason I am drawn to you."
