"Thank you, Aliya," Lina thanked her healer, sitting down.
"Do you want to eat?" Aliya asked, but Lina shook her head negatively.
She didn't feel like eating.
Her mind was preoccupied with the ordeal and everything that had happened to her.
She also wondered if Nemo's voice was just a figment of her imagination, or if she had actually heard him.
"As you wish," Aliya said, finishing with the treatment, and returned back to the campfire, leaving Lina alone with her thoughts.
Lina turned her gaze back to the mountain, and then to the inscription on the stone arch.
"The one who rises must be whole. The shattered one will crumble to dust."
"Whole, huh?" — Lina whispered, trying to figure out why she had failed the trial.
She was the epitome of contradictions.
On the one hand, she hated her bloodline and even cut off her wings in an effort to get rid of it.
