The barrier Rael had created thundered from all the fireballs striking it.
Thousands of explosions resounded, and some of the explosions even affected the people down in the city, causing some of their ears to bleed.
But that was only the case in the initial blast and round of explosions, as just a few minutes later, the people grew accustomed to the explosions and barely even reacted to them.
Once they realized that the explosions weren't actually hitting them, a look of relief appeared on everyone's faces as they stepped outside and cheered at the unknown patron's help.
The patron, being Rael, just sipped on some tea and watched the sight with an amused expression.
Just then, Nyx reappeared and sat down beside him with a bored look.
"Do you think it's really going to go this smoothly for the entirety of two hours?" she asked.
Rael shrugged.
"I hope so. I can't see what the phoenixes might do differently."
She hummed.
