Time continued passing, and the attacks from Nova Etra did not stop. Each group that arrived was stronger than the previous one, and some of them possessed abilities that were particularly troublesome for the dragon, making every battle increasingly difficult.
The dragon's strength had already declined considerably after the Thousand-Year Stampede, and the corruption had only made matters worse. Battles that she could have ended almost instantly in the past now required its full attention, and even then, it often suffered injuries before defeating its opponents.
