Frey was startled.
Nemesia nodded at her again, the young girl took a deep breath and looked around. Everyone seemed to hold their breath, waiting for her next move. She hesitated for a moment, then mustered the courage to approach the stone sword.
She placed her hand on the sword hilt, feeling the icy cold touch, and then gently lifted upwards.
Then a miracle occurred—
Everyone saw countless golden lights shoot out from within the stone sword, and then the stone fragments covering the sword fell off, revealing a golden longsword. The sword was over three feet long, with a guard shaped like open wings, emblazoned with the Lion Heart insignia, the entire sword looked as if it was crafted from gold, splendid and magnificent.
"The Lion Heart Sword—!" Beside the princess, her teacher, a revered elder respected by all Erune, couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
