"Your Highness?"
Brand was slightly taken aback, as a commotion suddenly arose from one side of the square. He looked up just in time to see Her Highness the Princess leading a group of people from the direction of the Moon Tower—presumably they had come through the passageway to the central hall of the World Tree and then up to the square.
The Princess, accompanied by several ladies-in-waiting, passed through the center of the square. She glanced at her brother, bound tightly by the ancient tree roots. Only then did Brand notice that he had forgotten to remind someone, and the Young Prince seemed completely subdued by the tentacles' tyranny, his face turning red as his sword was bounced away, making little gasping noises.
Princess Griffine frowned slightly at the sight of this and gently shook her head.
She approached Brand, took a breath, and then softly greeted, "It's been a few days since we last met, Mr. Brand. You still look as spirited as ever."
