Evelyn Taylor can only see Lily Turner's present; she can't imagine what Lily's childhood was like. Growing up happy herself, she can't feel the kind of pitiful situation Lily experienced.
"Oh, you."
Seeing Evelyn's attitude, Harriet White didn't know what to say anymore. She wanted to reason with her daughter a bit more but worried it would upset her daughter, who was already very agitated.
"What's wrong with me? How am I worse than that woman with the last name Turner?" Evelyn has no intention of stopping; whenever Lily Turner is mentioned, her emotions become agitated and are hard to calm down.
Seeing her daughter's stubborn ignorance, Harriet angrily replied, "You're becoming unrecognizable to me."
Although she said this out of anger, it was undoubtedly her true feelings; she genuinely felt her daughter had changed a lot.
