The more Anthony asserted, the more severe Alice Turner's doubts about him became. Watching his mouth opening and closing, she wished she could sew his mouth shut with a needle.
"You're not telling me the truth." After Anthony finished blabbering his lies, Alice Turner slowly made her judgment, and it was a very certain conclusion.
Anthony immediately shook his head in denial: "I'm telling the truth, sis! You have to believe me."
As he spoke, he shook the hand he was holding of hers, with a pleading expression.
"You're just lying to me together with others." Alice Turner pulled away his hand, walked briskly over and sat down on the sofa, bending over to pick up the computer on the coffee table, booting it up and getting into work.
Seeing this, Anthony immediately walked over and sat down in the empty spot next to her; he leaned in wanting to peek at her computer, but saw nothing as she shifted holding the computer towards the other side.
