The rest of the day went on in silence as Shad Darc was riding atop Fray while meditating they are so many things to think off but he thought it wise to let it be for now.
For example he needed to think about how his fight with Fray went also the fact that it was using energy flow but in a different way rather than strengthening itself it was able to use it defensively and the fact that the creature suddenly was able to understand him lastly is the fact that at this very moment he was somehow seeing the forest as it truly was well not the forest only but he feels as if he has been recognized by the world though it is just a feeling he is having he is not entire sure of it yet.
Everything in the weird forest seems to be extremely large and long even the grasses and the flowers looks bigger than how he had first saw it which made to wonder why he was only able to see now well not now per say but in a much clearer way.
And many other things he came to notice like how the moon was still up at the sky even if the sun is shining out and that the nine moons are not actually in circular path to each other but in a linear path not just that it also feels as if the moon is moving and that he can see it move.
This and other things he came to notice but had no answer to why or what is happening.
Seeing all this he let out stressed sigh and decided not to think about to much he already had things to worry about.
"One at a time, one at a time" he said to calm himself down.
Since he decided to not think of the strange discrepancy that had occurred he then decided to focus on his short term goal which he had set for himself.
It already been six days since he had set out to look for water even though the days actually feels far much longer to him and he had made improvements in his control of energy flow.
He continued on with his training on energy flow as he ride slowly on the Fray back towards the direction he was headed on earlier.
Firstly he checked on how far he had come on channeling energy flow on organic material which was the first thing he thought to asses and from his fight with the oversized cat he could say he gotten a little hang of it which means he is making progress in that area.
Secondly he checked on how well he was able to control energy flow in his body to strengthen it the answer also was gotten from his fight with the oversized cat which from his own point of view he would say he had made a lot of progress on strengthen hi body with energy flow which kind off felt natural to him.
Thirdly was how to passively and actively healed himself with energy flow and this was the one he had no say on because he couldn't grasp how energy flow healed him while he sleeps or rested as this seems to be something that is out of his control at the moment and so he decided to let it be for now at least until he is much stronger and had better knowledge and understanding regarding energy flow.
With that he took the third one out from his short term goal and thought off what to replace it with.
Pondering on what the replacement would be one off his identity then spoke.
'Why not replace it with how fast you move and control energy flow within you and in your weapons or tools.'
Shad Darc thought on it for a while which is odd considering he didn't necessary need to think of what one his identity had said as it already know his thought was but nonetheless he still think about it.
'So what you are saying is that I should train on on how fast I use my energy flow so that it because so as to increase the of my output'
'Yeah, something like that but more like a habit of attribute of such' pausing for while the mental identity of his continued continued
'And also you should try to make it as natural and instinctively as breathing, though breathing is an innate nature of all living things that requires oxygen or air to breath and so they are not really thought on how to breath and when to breath they just know how to do it both consciously and unconsciously, so it should also be something like that too. '
'It is kind of weird that all this is coming from my head while somehow I unable to directly think of it how weird and annoying' he said feeling little ambivalent.
'hmm, it is not like it really matter anyways I understand what you are trying to say well lets work towards it then.'
Afterwards Shad Darc closed his eyes to meditate or rather train his control on energy flow while Fray keep moving forward towards the south of the forest.
After what felt like countless hours Shad Darc open his eyes only to see the sun barely reaching it midpoints seeing this he frowned a little for no particular reason he must have think that it must noon by now considering the fact that he thought that he had spent a lot of hours meditating but then reality is always not what you imagined it to be.
Looking at the thick cold forest they are in it now suddenly feels as if it is still morning when looking at the cold forest probably ten o' clock or maybe eleven even though he thought it would have already been afternoon by now.
But there is nothing he can do about it couple with the fact that he literally knows nothing about where he was or anything at all about this strange world so he couldn't question anything for now even if he wanted to.
He looked at Fray with no expression or whatsoever and asked it a question.
"Are you tired already or if you are just let me know so that I can allow you to rest for while"
But Fray just shook its large head signaling that it is not yet tired.
Shad Darc just looked at it for short while his thought unknown and moves his eyes away he then notice the injury he had done to it almost completely healed if not healed with little scar to show for.
"Well you sure heal fast" he said as if to compliment the speed at which Fray heals.
That aside he checked on his own injury mainly his damaged right hand which was still healing but at a much slower pace than Fray's but he didn't let that bother him in anyway because the fact that he is healing is already enough for him.
"Come to think if it I only told you which direction I was headed too and what I was looking for so do you somehow know where we could find a water source"
Fray let out a two short low growl and mid short growl as if to say yes I do.
Shad Darc didn't exactly know what Fray was trying to say but he would guess it probably mean I was also heading there or maybe yes I do know.
Shad Darc just smiled at it making it to think that the little thing understand it.
"I going back to my training now so please if we eventually arrive let me know" with that Shad Darc closed his eyes and continue his training while the Fray just stare at him for while it thoughts only known to it and then it looked forward and continued walking forward.
The next time Shad Darc opened his eyes it was already evening and the forest was now warm or maybe a little bit hot.
Shad Darc was taken aback after all he just closed his eyes and it was now night time already well to be honest it kind off made sense to him because while he was mediating even though his sense of time was a little off it still felt like he had been meditating for days and not hours.
Seeing that it was now night time he ordered Fray to rest which it happily did.
It moved to a closed by tree and lay there while Shad Darc gently step down he moved a little bit away from Fray as he looked directly at it while the creature just folded it body as it rest it head atop it two front limbs.
"Why didn't you let me know that night was approaching?"
Fray opened it mouth as if it was about to say something and then closed it back as Shad Darc saw this it suddenly occur to him that he had told the creature to alert him when they at there final destination so maybe that's why the creature didn't alert him.
With a gentle smile Shad Darc then went on to pat Fray on its head even though Fray acted as if I wasn't pleased in anyway it was all written in it face that it was pleased with Shad Darc patting its head.
"No matter how I look at or think of you, you are one interesting creature" he said while maintaining a gentle smile on his face as he continue to gently pat Fray's head.
