This top-level war, unprecedented and far beyond even the Paramount War, finally ended with the surrender of Marines. When news of this battle spread across the seas, the shock it would cause to the oceans and the entire world would be absolute. By then, the world would completely explode.
As for what would happen to the world, Elior didn't care. The only thing he truly feared was May Geoise itself. At this moment, Tsuru, Fujitora, and Kizaru were all staring at Elior. Of course, Fujitora was blind, but that didn't affect the hatred burning within him. Elior didn't care in the slightest. Let them stare; they wouldn't dare cause trouble. They all understood the situation. There were more than ten thousand Marines present. If Elior wished, he could bury them all beneath the sea within minutes and feed them to the Sea Kings. How could they not value their own lives? Resistance was impossible, because Tsuru and the others were not Akainu, and even Akainu would never have dared to sacrifice so many Marines.
"Still want to fight? How many of you are left?" Elior smiled as he looked at Tsuru and the others.
Tsuru glared at him with hatred. If looks could kill, Elior would have been reduced to ashes thousands of times over. Fujitora smiled faintly and remained silent, while Kizaru simply shook his head.
"I wouldn't dare offend you," Kizaru muttered.
"Let's go," Elior waved his hand, addressing his own people. Soon, the forces of the Three Yonko Alliance began rapidly cleaning up the battlefield. The strong ones directly shattered the ice that had frozen their ships. An hour later, Tsuru and the others watched with rage and pain as countless ships of the alliance sailed away.
In the end, as the ice slowly melted, only corpses remained scattered across the battlefield along with the Marines who had not yet departed. Countless sailors had died in this war. Many didn't even leave bodies behind. Some corpses had sunk directly into the sea. The bodies of Zephyr, Garp, and Sengoku were relatively intact; at least they could still be considered whole corpses. As for Black Viper and Ryokugyu, their remains were shattered and incomplete. Akainu was left with only a single human head.
Of the twenty Vice Admirals who died, most were killed so brutally that their bodies were incomplete. Only three retained whole corpses: a Giant Vice Admiral, Lonz, and Dalmatian. The lower-ranking Marines suffered even greater losses. When the war ended, the surviving sailors looked upon the fallen Admirals and comrades. Many could no longer hold back their grief. Cries and sobs echoed across the melting ice.
The Marines had been utterly devastated. This was without question the most tragic war in history. Too many pillars of the Marines had fallen here.
"Sengoku… Garp… Zephyr… Sakazuki…" Tsuru knelt on the ice, facing their corpses, with Akainu reduced to nothing more than a head. She cried bitterly. She had never imagined that a war could be this tragic. She was a woman from the old era, someone who had experienced the terrifying Rocks Era and fought against the Rocks Pirates, yet even that battle paled in comparison to this one.
What was the point of war? For the first time in her life, Tsuru cried so hard she nearly collapsed. Behind her, Kizaru and the others silently wiped away their tears in the freezing wind. Gion stood beside Tsuru, gently supporting her hunched back. There was guilt in her heart, but Tsuru was still alive. Elior had spared her. Almost no one who opposed Elior survived.
On the other side, the undercover agent Stussy received a Den Den Mushi call from Elior. The call ended quickly. Elior's instructions were clear: she was to remain in Mary Geoise for the time being. If the upper ranks of the World Government made any moves, she was to report them immediately.
After leaving that sea, Elior informed Big Mom and Kaido that until the Celestial Dragons were destroyed, they were to remain in Paradise. As for Totto Land and Wano, their subordinates would manage things. Elior was extremely cautious. If they separated and returned to their territories, the Celestial Dragons could dispatch forces and destroy them one by one. It took days to travel between the New World and Paradise, and two or three days were more than enough for the Celestial Dragons to reduce Kaido or Big Mom to ashes.
Kaido had been captured multiple times in the past. Even Vegapunk had obtained his blood. If the Celestial Dragons truly wanted Kaido dead, it would not be difficult. As for killing Elior? That would be vastly more difficult, perhaps impossible. Still, with the power of the World Government, destroying Kaido and Big Mom was well within reach.
Elior had already begun to understand something. The reason the Yonko existed was not because the Celestial Dragons couldn't eliminate them, but because they needed them. In a world filled with pirates and dark forces, the World Government needed chaos to justify its rule. From the perspective of the Celestial Dragons, pirates were nothing but scattered sand. Historically, that had always been true; no one had ever ruled all pirates, not even the Pirate King.
What the Celestial Dragons truly feared was not individual Yonko, but the unification of pirates and dark forces. That fear applied to Elior. He was no mere Yonko. Kaido and Big Mom agreed to remain in Paradise. After this war, the Celestial Dragons would already be preparing how to annihilate them.
"Brat," Kaido frowned, "Are you really confident you can deal with Mary Geoise? That so-called Imu… is it truly an undead existence from over 800 years ago?"
Big Mom added, "And don't forget that monster that feeds on human flesh, the super weapon."
Elior thought for a moment. "It won't be a problem. When the war starts, you'll directly kill the Gorosei. Leave no Celestial Dragon alive. This war isn't far off. It will be very soon. This year, or even this month, if they can't hold back any longer."
