The early morning silence was broken by a soft, wet sound. Mmm… gurgle, slurp.
Wade, drifting in a pleasant dream, slowly became aware of a spreading warmth across his body. A smile touched his lips.
"Gardevoir… so sweet," he mumbled.
He blinked his eyes open, groggy. A light-blue figure was kneeling at the foot of his bed, head bowed in diligent concentration.
Some time later, the room settled back into quiet. Wade looked at the now-pouting Gardevoir before him and gently pinched her cheek.
"Being greedy again, weren't you?"
"Gardé," she huffed, a coquettish lilt in her psychic voice. "It is because Master sleeps so deeply and will not wake." She struggled to swallow, her mouth still full.
More time passed—Wade wasn't sure how much—before Gardevoir's face, flushed a pretty pink, used a pulse of Psychic energy to levitate a damp blanket out to dry.
As Wade dressed, a familiar chime sounded in his mind.
[Interaction with Farm Pokémon: Gardevoir +1]
[Note: Excessive interaction with a single target may reduce drop rate and quality of Word Strips.]
[Ding—Word Strip detected. Claim?]
Claim.
He agreed without hesitation, the motion as natural as breathing.
[Word Strip Acquired: Psychic Amplification (White)]
[Effect: Enhances mental power of the holder. If equipped to a Pokémon, increases power of all Psychic-type moves by 10%. If equipped to the Host, reduces required "recovery time" after communication by 10%. ]
Wade was a transmigrator, not a native of this world. He had once imagined a more typical path—a starter Pokémon, a Trainer's journey, Gym badges gleaming like promises.
Fate had other plans. Just as he prepared to enroll at Rainbow University for formal battle studies, a letter delivered by Dragonite Post changed everything. It was from the mayor of Hiyori Town.
"Kid. Your grandfather's farm is now yours."
Then, the mechanical voice in his ear:
"Communication Word Strip System activating."
Clutching the Wingull-stamped letter, Wade felt a surge of triumph. The good news: he'd inherited land. The great news: his long-awaited golden finger had finally arrived.
In the present, Wade mentally summoned his system. A transparent panel shimmered into view.
[Host: Wade]
[Race: Human]
[Bound Farm: Lv. 1 (Allows equipping of 2 Word Strips for Host or any Farm Pokémon)]
[Equipped Strips:]
Healing Body (Purple): Recovers from severe physical or mental fatigue in a short time.
Psychic Amplification (Purple): Mental power enhanced. Post-communication recovery time reduced by 30%.
He nodded, satisfied. Word Strips came in six grades: White, Blue, Purple, Red, Gold, Rainbow. Higher grades meant stronger effects. Upgrading one required either ten strips of its current grade or three of the next tier. A White to Blue upgrade, for instance, needed ten Whites or three Blues.
As for how to obtain them… the morning's activities were a prime example.
Wade had just entered the kitchen to start breakfast when a wave of warm breath brushed the nape of his neck. An alluring fragrance followed, then a pair of slender, pale arms encircled him from behind.
In the next instant, he was enveloped in profound softness.
"Master."
Gardevoir leaned over him, her ample chest spilling forth like fresh snow, engulfing his head with the pillowy warmth of sun-baked pastries.
"Mmph… Gardevoir, not so hard. Breakfast isn't finished," Wade managed, his voice muffled. He tried to push back, but his cheeks were cradled by yielding warmth, his nose buried in a deep, soft cleavage. Each breath came thick and warm.
"Master still wishes for breakfast?" Gardevoir's psychic whisper was husky, her eyes glazed with affection. "Am I not enough?"
The soft pressure around his face tightened possessively, pulling him deeper into a blissful, fragrant abyss.
"Gardevoir."
Wade tapped the light-blue figure's forehead gently with a wooden chopstick. She was staring at him again, her expression utterly lovesick. "Stop looking and eat your breakfast."
"Voir!" She flinched, covering her head with a small hand, eyes welling up with theatrical tears.
"I barely touched you," Wade muttered. To silence her pouting, he plucked a Lava Cookie from the plate and popped it into her waiting mouth.
"Gardevoir! So big… I'll be stuffed!"
"…"
Wade lowered his head and focused on his noodles. After the morning's… activities, he'd built up a temporary immunity to his little devotee's temptations.
The Communication Word Strip System was, as the name implied, straightforward. Through profound, satisfying communication with a female partner—be it Trainer or Pokémon—Wade could "drop" corresponding Word Strips. The surprise had been the secondary effect: upon the system's activation, his Pokémon had gained the ability to assume a humanoid form, switching between it and their natural state at will.
The night Gardevoir first discovered that form, a decade of devoted companionship had boiled over. Under the cover of darkness, the devoted Pokémon had reversed their roles entirely.
For the following half-month, Wade learned the true meaning of "the king no longer holding morning court." Without the [Healing Body] and [Psychic Amplification] Strips that had dropped from their… deepening bond, he was certain he would have withered away completely.
"Master…"
Wade, having just set down his bowl, looked up. Gardevoir, who had been quiet for all of five minutes, was flushed once more.
"Gardevoir… d-don't look at me like that," she stammered, her psychic voice a trembling whisper. "I… I can't hold back~"
Under his gaze alone, her pupils dilated, shimmering like twin spring-fed pools. Her whole body gave a delicate, involuntary shudder. She didn't understand it. Every glance from her Trainer, however faint, sent a wave of pleasure crashing through her, an urge that had only intensified since gaining her humanized form.
In the next instant, all hesitation vanished. Eyes glazed, she Teleported directly into his lap.
Poof.
Flushed and feverish, she pressed against him, a fine sheen of sweat glistening on her honey-toned skin. Suddenly, she lifted her rosy face, seized his wrist, and pressed his palm firmly against the rapid rise and fall of her chest.
"It's burning… here," she breathed, the words dissolving into soft, frantic whimpers.
"Alright, alright," Wade sighed, supporting her waist with one hand while ruffling her hair with the other. "If we keep this up, the farm work will never get done."
"Gardevoir~ I know," she acquiesced, her voice dazed. A blissful, distracted smile played on her lips as she absently stroked her own rounded belly. She giggled, the sound pure and content.
Finally full…
