Chapter 277 - 277

If someone were to look down from the sky at this moment, they would see an enormous abyss created by the explosion that had just occurred in this sea area. It was a gigantic pit with a radius of several thousand meters and a depth of five to six thousand meters. The seawater that should have collapsed inward was frozen solid by Elior, forming a raging, frozen chasm.

Deep within this pit, the War Ghost was being brutally tortured. Under normal conditions, Elior was no match for War Ghost, but in his strongest state, he could completely crush his opponent. With this level of strength, even the original Yonko fighting together would be no match for Elior. He could feel that the power within his opponent was far greater than when he had destroyed Garp and the others.

The horror of the War Ghost went beyond sheer power; his regenerative ability was equally terrifying. His body could be beaten to pieces and fully regenerate within a single minute. Elior did not know where the limit lay. How had this monster survived for eight hundred years? What exactly had Imu given him? According to Vegapunk, only Imu could control the War Ghost, a creature of her own making.

The War Ghost continued to roar. Elior seized the warrior's own spear and drove it straight through his chest, only to discover something shocking: the War Ghost had no heart. In the world of pirates, having no heart meant death, unless the power of the Op-Op Fruit was involved. Had Imu taken his heart to ensure total control?

Elior's kick slammed into War Ghost's head, shattering it completely, yet the flesh fragments gathered and reformed in an instant. Elior's expression darkened as he realized that while the creature's strength could not match his own, the infinite regeneration made him a troublesome bastard. He blew the body apart repeatedly, the shockwaves so powerful that even the reinforced frozen sea began to crack inch by inch.

Elior finally understood why this monster was impossible to control. However, he believed every power had a limit. He would not hesitate any longer; his strongest state consumed an enormous amount of energy. He activated his time domain and spatial field, sealing them both inside a small, isolated space. In this realm where time stood still, only Elior could move. The War Ghost's regeneration stopped completely.

Suspended in the air, Elior looked down at the mass of flesh. He intended to use his strongest attack to erase the War Ghost so completely that not a single cell remained. He raised his palms, and a massive crimson magic circle appeared. This explosive magic was powerful enough to evaporate the summit of the Red Line, but Elior went further. He fused three of his greatest powers: Honkai energy, his Railgun, and three billion volts of electricity.

The entire space turned dark red as a world-destroying force descended. The sea within a radius of over one hundred kilometers exploded once more, and seawater was evaporated instantly by a colossal wave of crimson energy. Over a hundred kilometers away, Gion's warship was forced back several kilometers by waves more terrifying than a tsunami. Only her flame barrier saved the ship from total annihilation. Darkness swallowed the sky as dark clouds churned violently.

When the dust finally settled, Elior stood in tattered clothes, blood pouring from numerous wounds. He knelt on one knee in the deep-sea basin, the original sea level more than twenty thousand meters above him. An invisible spatial barrier held the ocean at bay. Even with his defenses, Elior had been struck by the shockwave of his own attack after the space shattered.

Suddenly, a notification echoed in his mind.

[Ding! Sign-in detected. Do you wish to sign in?]

Elior smiled. He knew the troublesome monster was finally gone, reduced to dust with nothing left to regenerate.

"Sign in," he commanded.

[Sign-in successful. Reward: Unlimited Regeneration Ability, Defense doubled.]
