"Infinite regeneration and an improvement in defense."
Elior was surprised. With the ability of infinite regeneration, the horrific wounds on his body began to heal rapidly. The healing speed was even more terrifying than that of the War Ghost. At the same time, the weakness caused by his massive energy consumption completely disappeared, and his strength returned to an abundant state.
Elior could feel his body's defensive power doubling. While doubling defense might not sound like a massive increase, Elior's own base defense was already higher than Kaido's. In his strongest state, this protection would increase even further, making him truly invincible.
"I wonder how strong Imu, really is."
Thinking of Imu, Elior felt a trace of regret. It was a pity he couldn't present her with the War Ghost's head as a trophy to taunt the Celestial Dragons.
The battle was finally over. The entire fight had lasted for more than two hours, a testament to the enemy's resilience. Seawater began to flow back, covering the massive abyss and returning the sea level to normal as if nothing had ever happened. However, any creature capable of reaching the ocean floor would see the horrifying traces of destruction that would make even the Sea Kings tremble for generations.
Ten minutes later, the Sea King reappeared.
"Human, you are too strong! Comparable to the Ancient Weapons... no, I feel that you are even stronger than Uranus!"
It spoke in the language of its kind, audible only to those who can hear the Voice of All Things. The overlord was completely shocked. Although Elior was covered in blood and his clothes were in tatters, he showed no injuries or signs of exhaustion. It realized that while the blood on Elior's skin belonged to a monster, that monster's aura had vanished. It was dead.
"Uranus?" Elior murmured. Uranus was a primordial power, a sovereign of the sky and land, just as Poseidon ruled the sea. This world was vast and hidden beneath the tip of an iceberg of secrets, including the location of the mysterious Devil Fruit Tree.
"When the time comes, it will be up to you to fight against the King of the Heavens, if the Celestial Dragons choose to use it," Elior said.
The Sea King overlord sounded helpless as it noted that Elior had started a war. Elior replied that Poseidon had already been born, and even without his interference, the Celestial Dragons would have provoked a conflict eventually. Before diving back into the depths, the overlord made one final request: that Elior protect Shirahoshi, the sovereign of all Sea Kings.
Elior contacted Kaido and the others via Den Den Mushi to tell them the monster had been dealt with. While they were terrified by the news and demanded details, Elior promised to explain everything upon his return. Just as the call ended, a familiar voice filled with worry reached his ears. He turned to see Gion arriving on a warship.
"Gion?"
Elior appeared on the ship in an instant. She hugged him tightly and burst into tears.
"I almost thought something had happened to you! You idiot!" She noticed the heavy scent of blood and panicked, but Elior smiled and assured her it was only the enemy's blood. He didn't mention that some of it had been his own before his new ability kicked in. Seeing no wounds on him, Gion laughed through her tears and urged him to wash up.
"Help me. Let's go," Elior said with a smile. Gion scolded him as a little rascal but complied, her shyness still evident despite their bond. Soon, the sound of running water echoed through the bathroom. Elior used space severance to isolate the ship and activated his time domain. Gion's willingness to risk her life to find him, even if she couldn't have helped against such a monster, touched the part of Elior that wasn't completely cold and heartless. In his heart, she remained the most important person, and she deserved his time.
