Chapter 286 - Chapter 283: Kingu: I Will Never Assist the Old Humans!

Under the hopeful gazes of her sisters, Gorgon finally put on the collar.

Facing Jiang You's gaze, Gorgon wore an expression of profound humiliation. Having previously plotted to destroy humanity, she had lost so easily. Now, she longed only to retreat to her Dark Temple and hide away until the Singularity ended, refusing to show her face to anyone.

"Sisters, since I have promised you, I will no longer seek revenge against humanity."

Gorgon had betrayed her Spirit Origin. Her vengeful nature stemmed primarily from her desire to avenge herself and her sisters. Now that her sisters had chosen reconciliation, she could endure her own resentment.

"Sister, you wouldn't want to stay with humans either, would you? Come to my Dark Temple. There, you won't be disturbed by those loathsome humans, and my children will drive them away."

As she spoke, Gorgon kept her eyes fixed on Ana.

"If those fools are blind enough to trespass, don't blame me if my children show them no mercy!"

"Are you really going to let your Sisters live in that palace made of flesh and blood?" Jiang You couldn't help but complain. The thing's composition reminded him of the Sanity mechanic from some game called Despair. Just looking at it made your sanity drop. But Tiamat's Authority really was like biotechnology—if Greek mythology was about mechanical technology, then the Mesopotamian gods were playing with genetic engineering, right? Considering this was the Type-Moon World, it wasn't entirely impossible.

"..."

Gorgon fell silent, suddenly realizing that what she considered normal might be beyond most people's tolerance. Her Sisters were still pure goddesses, after all.

"Besides, if you're talking about the Dark Temple, I've already arranged for its demolition."

This was why Quetzalcoatl wasn't present. Now that the Three Goddess Alliance's contract had expired, she could directly attack the temple without punishment. The Magical Beast production line couldn't be allowed to continue churning out monsters indefinitely. If Tiamat returned, control of these creatures would revert to her, and who knew what bizarre abominations might emerge next?

"You!"

Gorgon wanted to lash out, but she realized there was no point in arguing now. A sense of grievance welled up within her.

"It's already over! Why can't we just wait for this Singularity to fix itself?"

Though the story never explicitly stated whether Gorgon knew of Tiamat's existence, her attitude and the way she addressed Kingu made it clear she genuinely believed herself to be Tiamat. Thus, it was perfectly reasonable for her to be unaware that the real Tiamat remained slumbering beneath the sea. Jiang You cut to the heart of the matter: "In reality, the true Tiamat has already been summoned here. She's the greatest variable in this Singularity. If we don't defeat her, this Singularity will never return to normal."

"Impossible!"

Gorgon desperately wanted to deny it. Even if she knew she wasn't the true Tiamat, servants often fused with other entities, and she clearly possessed Tiamat's Authority.

"Then what about Kingu? He calls me 'Mother'!"

"I never imagined you, Medusa, would have such a strong maternal instinct. Despite being the youngest among us, you're so mature."

Stheno, having been summoned by Ana earlier, had already learned about the Singularity's situation from Jiang You. She couldn't possibly agree with Kingu's ideas. Her beloved younger sister hadn't even married yet—how could she possibly have a child like this? Her gaze locked onto Ana, struggling to imagine how this petite sister, even smaller than herself, could possess such a character.

Ana shifted her gaze away, a little embarrassed. As a Servant, she naturally knew she had children. She imagined what it would be like to be a mother and realized she would embrace the role wholeheartedly. But those children had been born from her corpse, making any reunion impossible, let alone be raised by someone like Kingu.

"You foolish sister!"

Euryale forcefully rapped Gorgon's head, but her blows were little more than tickles to the towering Gorgon.

"What do humans want when they approach you? Servants are no different! Why don't we just confront him directly?"

The duel between Kingu and Gilgamesh was nearing its climax.

Enkidu stood beside Gilgamesh. With his true Best Friend present, Goldie had no reason to even glance at Kingu, let alone settle for a substitute. Had Enkidu not appeared, he might have deigned to give Kingu a chance.

In the Duel Arena, because Enkidu had summoned first, it was Kingu who found his effects sealed, leaving him with only the same card name as Enkidu.

Gilgamesh LP: 4000

Kingu LP: 1500

"Hmph, an imposter is just that—an imposter! Not even a single strand of my Best Friend's hair can compare!" Goldie sneered, reveling in his overwhelming advantage.

Even as the aged Wise King, his arrogance remained undiminished. The only difference was that he no longer indulged in frivolous whims like his younger self.

"You're nothing but tr—"

"Hold on a moment, Gil. If we're talking purely about performance, he's just as good as I am."

Enkidu stopped Gilgamesh from further belittling Kingu, saying with a smile, "I once fought you to a draw too. Your next words would just be describing yourself, you know? You should be a little kinder with your words."

"Best Friend, are you really going to address This King that way?" Gilgamesh's expression tightened before he glared at Jiang You, the loose-lipped troublemaker who had corrupted even Enkidu.

"This King is merely incensed that this wretch is using your body to commit such disgraceful acts."

"Don't forget, I was like that too once." Enkidu's original purpose had also been to end the Heroic King's reign.

"A vibrant flower cannot bloom without sunlight and rain. Gil, show your kingly magnanimity. How about letting the chains of heaven 2.0 become your ally once more?"

Gilgamesh's first instinct was to refuse, for two reasons:

1. This is just a Singularity—it's meaningless. 2. Forget it. Uruk has already fallen.

"Very well, then! This King will grant him this opportunity!"

But this was Enkidu's request. Gilgamesh could refuse anything, but never him.

"What nonsense are you two spouting here, talking to yourselves like fools! I will never acknowledge you Old Humans! I will entrust this world to the New Humans my Mother created. As the eldest son, I will pave the way for them!"

Kingu would fulfill his duty as an elder brother, he would never give up. "My turn, draw!"

When he saw the image on the card, his voice trembled. "W-what is this?"
