As soon as we left the hospital, I put my boys to work.
It was simple, dig information regarding Ben Harlow.
I should have done this before. When my sister was dating him, I hadn't seen any warning signs before, an orphaned, nerdy, ambitious boy that was the Ben I knew, I bet that was the person Cheryl loved too, but it seems there was more to him.
Currently sitting in the office that I had built over the years, the computer screens around me glowed, all the systems on, trying to keep track of people who had messed with us over the years.
I built this place slowly over the years. Brick by brick. Byte by byte. When Marco disappeared, I didn't stop looking.
As I impatiently paced around the cabin, the first monitor I had ever installed started beeping.
My head snapped towards the side. The first monitor I had ever installed was to track Marco. It hadn't beeped since I had installed it, but now it did; the map on the monitor had a moving red dot.
