"Other abilities?" Cathy frowned not understanding what he meant.
"Yes wife, soon I will tell you all about me". He said and slowly ruffled her hair gently.
"So you can kill in broad daylight, you have dragon like wings and also can disappear. Wow, that's super magical". She said excitedly, surprising Lucas who had expected her to be scared once again.
"Really? You find it magical? But most people find it scary as it has never been heard of. Vampires don't disappear, nor do they fly or kill in broad daylight". He said in a pleased tone.
I don't know why most people find it scary, but I see it as something magical and a special being. Catherine said making him furrow his brows.
"Special beings like?" He asked as he wondered whether or not he should pay a sweet visit to his in-laws in Hilltop kingdom.
"Yes but my dad never believed in such superstitions." Catherine said with a sad sigh.
"Why?" Lucas asked with his eyes gleaming in a way that one couldn't explain.
"Can we take a stop?" She asked in a whisper and Lucas did as she was good before he moved the horse to a tree and got down, whike he helped her get down.
Once they were down from the horse,
Catherine looked around her and see that they had passed the bunch of horses that were coming towards them. How they had managed to pass them by was still a mystery to her.
Lucas watched as different emotions crossed through her face. What was she thinking? He mused as decided to focus on her heart beat.
"What is going on..."
"We bypassed the horses." She cut him off with a frown.
"So that's what she was thinking?" He mused.
"Well, let's just say fate. Fate don't want us to meet them in that manner". He said and catty didn't comment on it before she moved to her story.
"You asked why my dad never believed in such superstitions?" She reminded him and Lucas nodded his head.
"The reason is because when my mother was pregnant with me in her belly..." The rest of her words trail off as she didn't know if she could fully trust him yet ti share such a sensitive Information.
Lucas noticed her abrupt change of expression and he slowly moved closer to her, making her take a step backward.
"I won't force you to trust me. Like I said, I will try to build trust, friendship and then commitment between us before I can..." Lucas swallowed, making her heart skip a beat and began to think wildly in her chest. For some reasons, his closed proximity towards her, was making her feel a certain way and the way he spoke.
Did he just say he wanted to build trust, friendship and commitment between them before what. She parted her lips to talk, but Lucas beat her to it first,
"Once I work hard to earn your trust, you can tell tell me what it is you want to share with me ". He said and she suddenly felt guilty for judging him in that manner.
She looked down, fiddling with her fingers as her heart skipped multiple beats.
"I am not doubting you. I just feel scared about sharing such a sensitive Information ". She said in a bare audible voice.
Lucas was slightly taken aback by her confession.
Sensitive Information? What does she mean by sensitive Information? He thought and slowly pulled her hands to his lips and kissed it.
"Whatever it is,we are in this together love. I will never let you regret being my wife". He assured her.
Catherine nodded her head and slowly pulled her hands aways from his, as she reached out to his face to pull out his mask.
Lucas didn't stop her and allowed her to pull his mask off, once his mask was off, she smiled sheepishly at his otherworldly beauty that could make anyone's heart race.
I will tell you everything you need to know about me. She said with a blushing face.
Lucas couldn't help but chuckle at the way her face was colored in redness.
He loved her to beats. So you may continue your story my sweet wife. He teased and her cheeks flushed redder than before making her heart raced wildly in her chest.
"Sure, quit teasing me so I can tell you all about it." She said in a warning toke, but lucas laughed out loud making her furrow her brows in confusion.
"Sorry. Continue". He finally stopped when he saw the glare in her eyes, but his eyes didn't give away his expression as they still glowed in amusement.
"So...when my mom was pregnant with me, my father wasn't around. " She paused again. While Lucas wondered why a king wouldn't be present when his wife was pregnant. Well, same goes for his cold blooded father. Those kind of men don't care about the women's feelings as far as they could produce an heir for the throne. The emotions wasn't their business.
Catherine took in a quiet breath before parting her lips to talk, when her mother told her the story. She was just a teenage girl. But she could remember every detail of what her mum narrated for her.
"No one knew my mother was pregnant with me except the mid wife. So when it was time for my mum to birth me, my dad came back and every other royal officials also came when they heard it was time for the queen to deliver. They all thought my mum was going to give birth to a boy, but were shocked and angry that I came out as a girl". She explained weakly. Her voice was already trembling as she knew was was already reaching the most sensitive part of the story.
"So they called this particular woman who was rumored to be a witch. And the witch gave a shocking revelation about me which made my dad began to hate me". She said again.
