Chapter 62 - Chapter 61: Ancient tome mystical book

Rina pursed her lips softly as she thought about it before saying,

"They are supposed to be happy that they were woken up already. "

"No, the reason why they refuse to wake up is because of the devil and his sons. And do you realize that the devil's son is daylight monster ?" Her mother said with a sneer as a faint memory of what the devil did to them decades ago flooded her memory for a brief second.

"Yes mama, I remember that is why we cursed him to be a daylight monster. " Rina said with a frown as she also remembered that awful day.

"Yes child, if you want to see her, visit her dreams but do it when she is still pure." Her mother said calmly.

"Pure as how?"

"Pure in the sense that her powers are yet to be awaken by her husband. You know what I mean". Her mother said and rina nodded as she watched her mother disappeared into the water. Even though she was glad to be awake, she needed to find daylight monster's wife twin sister and the only way to find her is to find the ancient tome mystical book. She thought with a small smile.

At the same time, Duke Clad and Brady finally arrived at the Shimmering Crystal Coast, a place spoken of in Valance only in reverent tones.

The journey had taken them to the far southwestern edge of the realm, where land surrendered gently to the sea. Before them stretched a breathtaking coastline that ran for hundreds of miles, the ocean so clear it seemed as though the sky itself had melted into water. Sunlight danced across the surface, scattering reflections like diamonds cast upon a vast blue canvas. Brady slowed his steps without realizing it, struck silent by the beauty, while Duke Clad stood tall, his gaze fixed on the horizon as though he sensed something older than time watching them in return.

Fishing villages clung to the coast like memories that refused to fade. Wooden cottages, softened by salt and wind, glowed in shades of silver and ash. Boats rested along the shore, their hulls worn smooth by years of loyal service to the sea. Smoke curled lazily from chimneys, and the distant sound of laughter mixed with the cry of gulls. Life here moved to the rhythm of tides, unhurried and assured.

Farther along the cliffs, ancient lighthouses rose like solemn guardians. Their stone towers bore the scars of countless storms, yet they stood unbowed. As evening approached, one by one their beacons flared to life, slicing through the growing dusk to guide sailors safely home. Duke Clad felt a strange comfort in their steady glow, as if they were silent witnesses to every promise ever made upon these shores.

Beyond the main paths lay hidden coves and secluded beaches, known only to those who listened to the sea closely. Soft sands curved around pools of crystal water so still they reflected the clouds like polished mirrors. Brady sensed a deep calm there, the kind that invited reflection—and secrets.

The people of the Starlight Coast welcomed the travelers without suspicion. These were folk shaped by waves and wind—skilled fishermen and fearless sailors who could read the ocean's moods as easily as others read books. Their hands, though rough, created wonders: finely carved wood, woven nets kissed with artistry, and tools that carried both beauty and purpose.

At night, stories were shared by firelight—songs and legends passed down through generations, guarded as carefully as treasure.

Yet beneath the surface of everyday life, magic breathed quietly.

The sea itself seemed alive, whispering truths just beyond hearing. Rumors spoke of merfolk gliding beneath the waves and selkies resting in moonlit coves, watching the world with ancient, knowing eyes.

Sea witches and sorcerers walked openly among the people, their magic woven into protection charms and blessings for safe voyages. And scattered along the coast, half-buried by time and tide, were ruins and artifacts from forgotten ages—relics that pulsed faintly with power, waiting to be rediscovered.

As night fell and the stars reflected in the water, Duke Clad knew their arrival here was no accident as they had come for only one mission to see the wizards. The Shimmering Crystal Coast was more than a destination—it was a threshold, a place where myth and reality intertwined. And as the waves whispered against the shore, it was clear that the sea had stories yet to tell, and that both Duke Clad and Brady had become part of them unknowingly.

"This place feels and smells like magic". Duke Clad said with a small smile as he observed every where.

"Your Grace, this place belongs only to the water people. The selkies, the seawitches and also people that are fishing all belongs to the water people. I think the only way to get through the wizards is to visit the sea witches or the selkies. " Brady explained.

"Sure. Let's go to the boat side. " Duke Clad said as he and Brady finally went to the river side. On reaching there, they saw some group of women seated round a huge glass jugs. Their white eyes looked so bright it could light a house.

As if sensing presences, the group of seawitches switched their eyes back to blacks and turned to look at the two men who had come to disrupt them.

"Greetings to the seawitches of Shimmering Crystal Coast of Calanthor kingdom. We apologize for disturbing your peaceful meeting. We are here not to cause some trouble but are here to see the wizards. " Duke Clad greeted with a slight bow of his head.

The head of the sea witch whose name was Elara stood up. She had like waist black hair and black eyes that looks exactly like Catherine. A small deep scar was on both her cheeks as she opened her arms widely to invite them in.

"It's no problem Duke". She said in her most sweetest voice that could captivate a man.

"Wizards are no longer in existence in this part of the kingdom. They have been condemned a long time ago by the selkies." She said in her sweet voice again.
