"She… she's your wife? How? No… why? Did you meet that bastard Zeus?" Odin asked with a look which was somewhere between shocked, aghast, and worried.
"She's my wife, because I married her, duh, both her and Freyja, and no, I did not learn from Zeus, as for why… It's because of you." I chuckled not worrying a bit about his reactions.
"Because of me? You bastard! You are saying you slept with and married my daughter, your sister, because of me??!!" Odin shouted loudly.
"Well, duhh, do you not realize how big of a wingman move you pulled?" I asked surprised
"I did no such thing." Odin said conflicted.
I laughed out loud at his words, then cleared my throat, as I started saying in an exaggerated tone,
"Oh yeah, so I happened to save this beautiful princess, who from a young age was thrown off to fight wars for her abusive father, who did not value her, then one day her father decided not to fight anymore.
She felt as if her purpose of life was being taken away from her, so she argued back, but her evil father did not listen to her words at all, and considered her crazy.
In all his bastardly schemes, he decided the best thing to do would be to make an example of her, by imprisoning her for eternity, so that no one dare opposes him anymore.
She fought back… but alas, she was far too weak, not able to stand up to her evil father, she had lost all hope, and was about to accept her fate.
But just when her father was about to seal her, someone stopped him. She had not expected help, she never had any, she did not think anyone would stand up to her father for her, and protect her.
But, one man did that… He stopped the king of the gods, daring to fight him just to save her, and he returned victorious, saving her from a lifetime of imprisonment.
For the first time in her life, she was not the warrior general… but a princess who was protected by prince…
She cared naught, if that prince was her own brother, her heart had already blossomed the petals of love.
An accident led to her brother find out about this, but instead of reprimanding her, he comforted her, accepted her for who she is.
For the first time in her life, she felt loved."
"…I feel like driving my spear right through your heart, then throw you off somewhere desolate and drop the bifrost on you for ten days straight just to ensure that you are gone." Odin grumbled.
"So it seems her father has returned after a century, the rivers of time failed to clean his dirty heart, with intentions full of evil, he turns his gaze once again, to destroy her happiness, by destroying her love." I sighed
"…" Father was quiet, he just looked at me with a blank face, a pensive expression, it seems he has seen through the wrongs of his thinking and is contemplating on them.
"You know what, I should just go and enjoy my retirement, I think listening to you is more injurious to my health than staying in isolation for a century.
Just go and do whatever you want…" he sighed bringing a smile on my face, but instead of stopping, he continued speaking.
"And yes, you are right about one thing, I failed Hela… so don't do the same… okay?" This time around, he finally managed to make me serious, so I just gave him a nod of approval, but that was enough to convey whatever I wanted to say.
"By the way, you won't be staying in the capital anymore.
Sometime ago, I had a talk with mom, discussing about her future plans, and you are both to live in a nice castle built in a beautiful forest away from all settlements, live a quiet life there.
Mom has already decided, and you don't have the rights to decide anything, so you are following that." I informed Odin, the palace was built by yours truly in a highland forest, which can basically be said to be a paradise.
"Sounds perfect." Odin smiled back.
"Don't get too happy, go settle and live off happily for some time, then I would send students off to you."
"Yeah, whatever you say." Odin chuckled.
I waved my hands and opened a gate leading straight to the forest palace.
"Go there and wait, mom would arrive soon." I ordered.
"Okay… son." He smiled, and stepped into the gate.
Finally, time to talk with mom and send her off too… then, the conquest plan can start in full swing.
'Eva, is my divine battleship completely designed?'
[Yupp, better than you can even imagine. So, are you planning to create them yourself or you want your empire to create them?]
'Let's create one myself, then rest would be built by my subjects.'
[Yeah, why do all the hard work yourself.]
'So, Eva, excited about ruling an inter-galactic empire?'
[Honestly, I am excited, I want to see how far I can take them with the best of my abilities, after all, they are not machines, mortals have emotions, desires, greed, a lot of things which could make my plans go wrong.
So yes, ruling would actually be a great experience, though, it might get boring after some time…]
'meh, you can create an A.I. just like the Kree did, you would only need to ensure that the A.I. is obedient, and it's all good.'
[Truly, your plans of laziness are always astounding, didn't even take you a second to figure out a way to shirk all responsibility.]
'Hey, I was just trying to help here, and I am not lazy, stop lying.'
[Heh.]
'What? I am definitely not lazy!'
[Heh.]
'…'
Ignoring Eva, I went to visit my mother, for whom I had a surprise prepared.
And just as I entered the room, I was greeted with a hug.
"Son, how was your battle at Nornheim?" Frigga asked gently caressing my hair.
"It was way too easy, I could not even properly enjoy myself, the Norn queen was far too weak, I have imprisoned her and brought her back.
Nornheim is part of Asgard's territory from now onwards." I replied with a smile.
"As expected of you, my son." She said with a proud look.
"Mother, this time, I came here for a reason, you remember when you asked for a palace in some quiet and beautiful place.
Well, that's ready, so I would like you to come with me and tour it.
I also have a surprise ready for you." I said with a mischievous smile.
"Oh the palace is ready? Well, I indeed plan to move to somewhere quiet… but you would have to come visit me often.
As for a surprise… since you say it's a surprise, it would be rude to ask, though, I am very curious." She chuckled at the last part.
"Well, you don't have to wait for long." I chuckled as I waved my hand, opening a gate leading to the outside of the forest palace.
"You really know how to pick up a spot… this is beautiful." Frigga commented as she looked at the surrounding scenery, there was a waterfall in the distance, a small stream running through the palace area, colourful forests all around, and the palace itself was surrounded by well-trimmed grass fields.
"The real surprise is inside the palace." I said leading her inwards.
The gates opened, and there, as if on cue, was standing Odin.
"Long time no see… my dear Frigga." His voice the warmest ever I had heard from him.
Mother just stood there in shock and silence, but the tears streaming through her eyes were enough to convey her emotions.
