Chapter 38 - Chapter 38

"Why didn't you take it out earlier!"

Herz was both excited and slightly reproachful—Sephilia should have taken this out sooner!

Sephilia glanced at Raiga and stated bluntly, "At that time, Raiga's ability wasn't strong enough to transfer everyone together, and using a spacecraft would have been too conspicuous. Even if I had taken out this database, it wouldn't have been of any use."

Herz fell silent for a moment and sighed. "That's true."

Sephilia continued, "But things are different now. As Raiga's power has increased, transferring people is no longer as difficult as before. There's a chance we can bring back a few of our kin."

"Yes, we definitely can!" Herz became excited. It had only been a little over a month since Planet Vegeta was destroyed. No matter how fast Frieza's army moved, they couldn't have wiped out all the Saiyans scattered across the universe. There had to be survivors on remote planets.

The Saiyan race was not yet extinct.

A spark of hope ignited in Herz's heart. He had thought there were only three of them left. While Sephilia, as a female Saiyan, could bear offspring, he still missed his wife. The continuation of their lineage could only rely on Sephilia and Raiga. But even so, at best, they could sustain the bloodline for one more generation before inevitably dying out.

If that happened, the Saiyans might as well be extinct—the race would vanish within a few decades.

But now, with this database and Raiga's teleportation ability, there was real hope of finding some of their kin before Frieza's forces did.

They didn't need too many—if they could gather even a hundred or two hundred people, as long as the male-to-female ratio was balanced, the Saiyan race could continue.

"Let's access the data inside," Raiga said.

Herz nodded eagerly.

The group quickly washed their hands and carefully inserted the USB containing the valuable data into the ship's interface. The ship's computer soon recognized the information, and a massive screen displayed rows upon rows of planetary details and Saiyan mission logs.

"There's a lot here. We need to be selective."

After some discussion, they decided to start with the nearest planets, focusing on finding Saiyans with decent potential.

Raiga posed a question. "What if they don't want to come with us?"

Saiyans were proud and unruly. Just because they wanted to bring someone back didn't mean the other person would comply. There were bound to be some stubborn and reckless individuals.

Sephilia's eyes flashed coldly. "If they refuse, we beat them into submission. If they still won't obey, we kill them."

Herz also wore a grim expression. "I agree with Sephilia. Until we are strong enough, we cannot risk exposing ourselves."

Raiga nodded. Killing the defiant ones was the simplest solution. They were destined to die at the hands of Frieza's forces anyway, so he would rather pick and choose who to bring back. He wasn't about to go through all this trouble just to rescue ingrates.

"Raiga, I'm going with you," Sephilia said, her bright eyes fixed on him.

"Yes, take Sephilia with you. She can protect you, and I'll stay here on Planet Frye and wait for your return," Herz added. Raiga's safety was paramount.

Raiga thought for a moment and nodded. "Alright, we'll go together."

Although his battle power was nearing 1,000—a level that wasn't considered weak in the universe—it wasn't overwhelmingly strong either. After all, Raditz had a battle power of 1,500 and dared to roam the universe confidently, proving that 1,000 was a decent level but not dominant.

For the sake of his survival, having a bodyguard was crucial. Between Sephilia and Herz, Raiga naturally chose Sephilia.

Not only was she his sister, but she was also a stunning beauty. Staying close to her and catching her scent was a bonus.

Once preparations were complete, Raiga let Sephilia hold him tightly before activating "Teleportation Technique." Feeling the soft sensation of her embrace, Raiga smirked slightly. A flash of white light enveloped them, and the two vanished from Planet Frye.

As he watched them disappear, Herz clenched his fists tightly, his lips trembling slightly.

The survival of the Saiyan race rested in their hands.

Several star systems away, Raiga and Sephilia suddenly appeared in the sky above a distant planet.

"This is it—Planet Wando. According to the database, there's a lower-class Saiyan here," Raiga said as he activated his scouter, scanning the planet's energy signatures. A smirk formed on his lips. "Looks like we're in luck. That Saiyan is still alive."

"Let's go!"

Sephilia lifted Raiga, her 6,000 battle power surging forth as a blazing energy streak shot across the sky. She sped toward the energy source.

They crossed dense forests, vast grasslands, and towering mountains. Eventually, they arrived in a hilly region with rolling peaks and ancient woodlands. The air was filled with the cries of birds.

BOOM!

A violent explosion echoed through the sky, shaking the ground. Towering trees crashed down as thick smoke billowed into the air.

In the depths of the forest, an eight- or nine-year-old child was engaged in fierce combat with a massive dinosaur. The battle was intense—the force of their clashes trembled the earth, clearing a wide space in the dense jungle.

The child laughed wildly, his eyes flashing with a savage glint as he unleashed bright blue energy blasts. The blasts struck the dinosaur's body, causing the beast to let out a pained wail. Its long neck slumped to the side, and it collapsed unconscious.

Watching his prey finally fall, the child burst into laughter.

Unbeknownst to him, his every move had been observed.

Floating in the air, Raiga smirked. "That's the one—Asa, ten years old, lower-class warrior, battle power of 280. Not bad for a lower-class fighter."

Sephilia remained indifferent. "Knock him out and take him with us."

"Shouldn't we ask if he wants to come?"

"Fair enough. If we take him back and he refuses to cooperate, it would just be a waste of Senzu Beans. Let's ask first." To Sephilia, Senzu Beans were too valuable to waste.

"Huh? Who are you?" Asa finally noticed them and was about to question them when—

CRACK!

Sephilia flickered and appeared beside him, instantly crushing his scouter.

BANG! Seeing his scouter reduced to fragments, Asa roared angrily, "What the hell?! You destroyed my scouter!"

Sephilia's face turned cold, her chilling aura surging forth. "Kid, you'd better behave."

"O-okay…" Feeling the overwhelming killing intent radiating from Sephilia, Asa's face turned pale, and fear filled his eyes as he looked at her.
