Near Hosu City at Yamanashi Prefecture, the night looked far less dramatic.
No rooftop chases. No villains.
No heroic rescues.
Just a small, old-fashioned house tucked between narrow streets.
And inside it—A green-haired intern was having a very different kind of crisis.
Izuku Midoriya stood in the living room holding a vacuum cleaner.
He looked exhausted. Not from battle. From chores.
-Sigh!
"..."
Across the room sat his mentor.
The elderly hero Gran Torino, lounging comfortably in a chair with a bowl of snacks in his hands.
The old hero squinted at him.
"So…"
He pointed a finger suddenly.
"Kid!"
"What was your name again?"
Midoriya nearly dropped the vacuum.
"Y-You asked me that already!"
Gran Torino leaned forward.
"Did I?"
He scratched his head.
-Scratch! -Scratch!
"Huh… What was it again?"
Midoriya's lip twitched in frustration.
-Twitch! -Twitch!
"…Midoriya."
The old hero blinked.
-Blink!
"Midoriya?"
Then he leaned back again.
-Hm...
"...."
"Never heard of you."
Midoriya froze. His eye twitched slightly by the mild annoyance building in his chest.
"...."
Two days had passed since his internship started.
And so far—
Midoriya had:
• cleaned the house
• washed dishes
• done grocery shopping
• vacuumed the floors
• fixed a broken cabinet
• organized old hero magazines
And that was just today.
Midoriya stood there holding a rag and bucket.
Inside his mind, panic spiraled.
'Did I mess up?! Did I pick the wrong internship?!'
His thoughts raced.
'Everyone else must be doing real hero work! Patrolling cities! Stopping villains! Training their quirks!'
Meanwhile he looked down at the rag in his hand.
"…I'm cleaning mold from the bathroom tiles…"
Gran Torino suddenly spoke again.
"Kid!"
Midoriya jumped caught off guard.
"YES SIR?!"
The old hero stared at him.
"What was your name again?"
Midoriya's soul almost left his body.
"…Midoriya."
Gran Torino squinted.
"…Midoriya."
Then he pointed suddenly.
"You're that kid Toshinori told me about."
Midoriya blinked seeing some progress.
-Blink! -Blink!
"Y-Yes!"
Gran Torino leaned forward.
"You inherited it, didn't you?"
Midoriya froze hearing him once again.
"...."
Gran Torino grinned.
-Grin
"Relax. I know about All Might."
Midoriya's brain short-circuited.
"W-W-WHAT?!"
Gran Torino waved his hand casually.
"Yeah yeah. Toshinori told me everything."
He pointed at Midoriya again.
"So. You're the kid who got One For All."
Midoriya almost fainted.
"...."
Gran Torino stood up slowly. His old body suddenly moved with surprising speed.
The playful old-man act vanished instantly.
His sharp eyes locked onto Midoriya.
"Well then."
He cracked his neck.
-Crack!
"Let's see if you're worth the trouble."
Midoriya blinked while his mind was proceeding might be finally his suffering going to end.
"…eh?"
Gran Torino suddenly launched forward.
Midoriya barely saw him move.
-BAM!
The old hero kicked him straight across the room.
Midoriya crashed into the wall.
Gran Torino landed lightly on the floor.
"First lesson, kid."
He pointed at Midoriya.
"Stop breaking your own bones every time you fight."
Midoriya groaned from the floor.
"…THAT WASN'T A LESSON!"
Gran Torino smirked like a oldman who was bullying a kid.
-Smirk!
"Sure it was."
The old hero's eyes gleamed.
"Now get up. Your real internship starts now."
Moments ago Izuku Midoriya had been scrubbing floors.
Now he stood in the middle of the living room, heart pounding.
Gran Torino had just said the words.
"Your real internship starts now."
Midoriya's eyes widened.
"...."
Electric green sparks of One For All began crackling around his arms as he prepared himself.
"Y-YES! I'm ready!"
He clenched his fists.
Lightning-like discharges flickered across his body.
Gran Torino leaned forward slightly and squinted at him.
Then he asked casually—
"Kid… what was your name again?"
Midoriya froze. His eye twitched.
"...."
"…What?"
Gran Torino scratched his head.
"What was it again? Mid-something?"
Midoriya's brain nearly collapsed.
The electricity around him fizzled as he grabbed his own head.
"You asked me that already!"
Gran Torino blinked slowly.
"Did I?"
Midoriya almost fainted.
"YES!"
The old hero leaned closer.
"Then tell me again."
Midoriya groaned loudly.
"MIDORIYA!"
Gran Torino shook his head.
"Hmm. That doesn't sound right."
Midoriya stared at him in disbelief.
Inside his mind—
'I'm going insane. This old man is going to kill me before any villain does.'
Gran Torino suddenly straightened his posture.
His playful confusion disappeared for a moment.
"Listen carefully."
He pointed a finger toward his chest.
"I am Gran Torino."
He paused. Then pointed at Midoriya again.
"And you… What was your name again?"
Midoriya's soul nearly left his body.
But suddenly—Something clicked in his mind.
"...."
All Might's words echoed from his memories.
"Call yourself what your childhood friend called you."
Midoriya's eyes widened.
"...."
Realization struck him like lightning. He straightened his back suddenly.
Electric energy flickered again across his body.
Then he declared loudly—
"I'M DEKU!"
Gran Torino blinked.
-Blink!
"…Deku?"
Midoriya nodded fiercely.
-Nod
"Yes!That's my hero name!"
Gran Torino stared at him for a moment.
Then suddenly—The old hero burst out laughing.
"HAHAHAHA!"
He wiped tears from his eyes.
"Kid, you finally said it!"
Midoriya tilted his head.
"…said what?"
Gran Torino crouched slightly. His expression suddenly sharpened.
"The problem."
He pointed at Midoriya.
"You keep saying Midoriya. But that name belongs to a scared kid."
His grin widened.
-Grin!
"But Deku… That's a hero name."
Midoriya stood frozen.
Gran Torino suddenly vanished.
-WHOOSH!
Midoriya's eyes widened.
Gran Torino reappeared behind him.
Before Midoriya could react—
-BAM!
The old hero kicked him straight into the wall again.
Gran Torino landed lightly on the floor.
"Lesson number two, Deku."
Midoriya groaned from the floor.
"Stop thinking."
Gran Torino pointed at him.
"And start moving."
His grin returned.
-Grin
"Now come at me."
The old hero bounced lightly on his feet.
"Let's see what All Might's successor can actually do."
U.A. High School...
Late evening settled over the campus of U.A. High School.
The training fields were mostly quiet now.
The wind rustled softly through the tall trees surrounding the campus as the last rays of sunlight faded behind the buildings.
Inside one of the outdoor training grounds stood Shota Aizawa.
His capture weapon scarf hung loosely around his neck while his tired eyes studied the student standing across from him.
That student was Hitoshi Shinso.
Shinso stood calmly with his hands in his pockets, though the serious look in his eyes showed how focused he was.
Aizawa spoke first.
"You're late."
Shinso scratched the back of his head lazily.
-Scratch! -Scratch!
"Five minutes."
Aizawa stared at him blankly.
"Still late."
Shinso sighed but didn't argue.
-Sigh!
"...."
Ever since the U.A Sports Festival, Aizawa had taken interest in him.
His Brainwashing Quirk was powerful.
But it needed proper training.
And more importantly—The mindset of a hero.
Aizawa slowly pulled his capture weapon free.
"You want to transfer into the hero course."
Shinso nodded with determination.
-Nod
"…Yeah. Then stop standing around."
Aizawa suddenly moved. The capture weapon snapped through the air like a whip.
Shinso barely dodged in time.
"...."
The cloth wrapped around a nearby pole instead.
Aizawa pulled it back instantly.
"Heroes don't get time to think during combat."
Shinso smirked slightly.
-Smirk!
"…says the guy who literally fights while half asleep."
Aizawa's eyes narrowed.
-Frown!
"Smart mouth."
The scarf shot forward again. This time Shinso jumped backward quickly.
Aizawa continued calmly.
"You rely too much on your quirk."
Shinso landed on his feet.
"Because it works."
Aizawa replied flatly.
"Until it doesn't."
Shinso paused listening.
While Aizawa continued.
"If someone knows your ability… they stop responding."
He pointed at Shinso.
"Then what do you do?"
Shinso didn't answer.
Aizawa raised his capture weapon again.
"That's what we're fixing."
Meanwhile...
U.A Staff Dorm...
Inside the U.A staff dorm building, another teacher stood quietly by the window.
The tall blond figure of All Might in his thin form looked out at the darkening campus.
His hands rested behind his back as he stared into the distance.
His thoughts drifted toward one particular student.
Izuku Midoriya.
He smiled softly.
"Midoriya boy… He must be training very hard right now."
In his imagination, he pictured Midoriya undergoing intense hero training under Gran Torino.
Running. Punching. Mastering One For All.
All Might nodded proudly to himself.
-Nod
"Yes. He will grow tremendously."
Across the room, a small television was playing news about the rising incidents involving the Hero Killer Stain.
But All Might's attention remained elsewhere.
He looked toward the stars.
"My successor… You are becoming stronger."
Meanwhile in Yamanashi Prefecture…
Inside a tiny apartment.
Midoriya crashed into a wall again.
"OWWWW!"
Gran Torino landed lightly on the table beside him.
"Too slow, Deku!"
Midoriya groaned from the floor.
"…I think my soul left my body…"
Gran Torino laughed loudly.
"Good! That means training is working!"
Midoriya stared at the ceiling.
"...."
'All Might thinks I'm training heroically…'
Another kick sent him sliding across the room.
"GET UP!"
Gran Torino shouted.
"YOU'RE STILL TOO STIFF!"
Midoriya slowly got up again, trembling. Green electricity flickered across his body.
"…Y-Yes sir…"
And far away at U.A—All Might smiled proudly.
Completely unaware that his successor was being mercilessly beaten by a tiny old man.
Across the city in another part of Yamanashi Prefecture, another internship was unfolding.
And the atmosphere there was… completely different.
Inside a sleek, modern hero agency office filled with neatly arranged fabrics and shining glass windows stood Katsuki Bakugo.
He looked like a walking bomb about to explode.
Literally.
Across from him stood the calm and elegant pro hero—
Best Jeanist.
Tall. Perfectly composed.
Every strand of his clothing immaculate.
Even his hair looked styled by a fashion magazine.
The hero folded his arms gracefully while observing Bakugo from head to toe.
"…Hmm."
Bakugo's eyebrow twitched.
"What."
Best Jeanist adjusted his collar.
"You possess tremendous power."
Bakugo snorted as if he already knew that.
-Snort!
"Yeah, no shit."
Jeanist continued calmly.
"But your presentation…"
He gestured toward Bakugo's posture.
"…is disastrous."
Bakugo's eye twitched harder.
-Twitch!
"What the hell does that mean?"
Jeanist calmly walked around him like a fashion critic inspecting a mannequin.
"Slouched posture."
"Hostile facial expression."
"Speech pattern resembling a delinquent."
He stopped directly in front of Bakugo.
"…your hero image is in tatters."
Bakugo's patience snapped instantly.
"WHO CARES ABOUT IMAGE?! My explosions are enough!"
Small sparks crackled from his palms.
-Crack! -Crack!
-Crack!...
Jeanist sighed softly.
-Sigh!
"This is precisely the problem."
Bakugo leaned forward aggressively.
"You called me here to fight villains!"
Jeanist replied calmly.
"No."
Bakugo blinked hearing his response then why was he here for internship.
"…What?"
Jeanist pointed toward the mirror on the wall.
"I called you here …to fix you."
Bakugo stared in silence.
"...."
"...."
"...."
Jeanist snapped his fingers.
Suddenly threads of denim from his costume lifted into the air.
His quirk Fiber Master activated.
In an instant—The threads wrapped around Bakugo.
-FWIP!
His arms were restrained. Then his legs. Then his torso.
Bakugo fell flat on his back.
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
Jeanist calmly adjusted his glasses.
"Lesson one. A hero must maintain composure."
Bakugo tried to explode his way out.
But the threads tightened perfectly around his wrists.
"STOP MOVING LIKE A RABID DOG."
Bakugo growled being bound by these threads.
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
Jeanist sighed again.
-Sigh!
"And lesson two."
He lifted Bakugo slightly off the ground using the threads.
"A hero who constantly threatens murder …is extremely unpleasant to the public."
Bakugo struggled violently.
"...."
Jeanist remained perfectly calm.
"You are powerful. But your attitude undermines everything."
He lowered Bakugo back to the ground.
"You will learn discipline. You will learn presence. You will learn how to represent a hero."
Bakugo's eyes twitched violently.
-Twitch! -Twitch!
"…this internship sucks."
Jeanist crossed his arms.
"This internship… will save your future."
Bakugo tried exploding again. The threads tightened instantly.
"AND STOP SWEARING."
Bakugo roared.
"DAMN IT!"
Jeanist sighed trying to convince himself.
"…progress will take time."
