-------------------------------------------------

Hosu City...

Night wrapped itself tightly around Hosu City once again.

Streetlights flickered.

Shadows stretched long across empty roads.

Tenya Iida walked beside Manual, his steps sharp, disciplined.

Manual was speaking calmly.

"Stay focused. Patrol work isn't about rushing in—"

Then—A scream.

"HELP—!"

From a nearby alley.

Iida froze. His heart skipped.

That voice… The tone…

Something inside him snapped into alignment.

'Stain.'

His fists clenched.

Manual turned sharply.

"Wait!"

But Iida had already moved.

"IDA!"

Manual's voice cut through the street.

"DON'T ACT ALONE!"

But Iida didn't respond. His engines roared.

"...."

-VROOOOM!

He dashed forward at full speed, turning sharply into the alley.

Manual cursed under his breath.

"…damn it."

And ran after him.

In a dark. Narrow.

Silent—except for one thing.

"...."

A body. A pro hero.

Collapsed against the wall. Unable to move.

Eyes wide. Frozen.

"...."

And standing over him—Blade raised—Was Stain.

The crimson scarf swayed behind him like a warning.

The sword gleamed under the dim light.

"Another unworthy hero…"

Stain muttered. He raised the blade higher.

Ready to strike—

-CLANG!

A metallic sound rang through the alley.

Stain's blade stopped mid-swing.

"...."

Blocked. By armor. By speed. By fury.

Iida stood between the fallen hero and death.

His arm raised. His engines still humming.

His eyes—Cold. Focused. Burning.

"…I won't let you."

Stain slowly turned his head. His eyes locked onto Iida.

A pause.

"...."

Then—Recognition.

"…Ingenium."

The word came out low. Measured.

Iida's jaw tightened.

"My brother… what you did to him…"

His voice trembled. Not from fear. From contained rage.

Stain studied him carefully.

"…so you're his kin."

Iida lowered into a stance. Engines revving louder.

"I am here… to stop you."

Behind him—Manual reached the alley entrance.

"…Iida—!"

He saw the scene.

"...."

The injured hero. Stain. And Iida standing alone in front of him.

Manual's face hardened.

"…this is bad."

Very bad.

The air in the alley thickened.

Stain tilted his blade slightly.

"…you reek of vengeance."

Iida didn't deny it.

"…maybe. But I will still stop you."

Stain's grip tightened on his weapon.

"…then come."

The scarf fluttered by the breeze passed him.

-Flutter! -Flutter!

The killer's stance lowered.

Rainwater dripped from pipes. The air smelled of iron and tension.

-Drip! -Drip!

-Drip! -Drip!...

Manual stepped forward urgently.

"Iida!"

His voice was sharp.

"Fall back! Call for backup! I'll hold him!"

But Tenya Iida didn't move. Didn't listen. Didn't even look back.

"...."

His eyes were locked on one man.

Stain.

The one who destroyed his brother. His engines roared.

Louder. Hotter. Faster.

-VROOOOOMMM!!!

Manual clenched his teeth.

"…damn it."

-VROOOOM!

Iida vanished from his spot. Bursting forward with explosive speed.

"RECIPRO—!"

His leg shot forward. A high-speed kick aimed straight at Stain.

-WHOOSH.

Stain moved. Not fast. Precise. He tilted his body just enough.

The kick missed. His blade flicked.

-SLASH.

A shallow cut opened on Iida's arm.

Iida skidded across the ground.

Blood. Just a drop. But enough.

Stain's tongue darted out.

-LICK.

Iida froze. Mid-movement. His body locked. Eyes wide.

"...."

"What—?!"

Stain's quirk activated.

Bloodcurdle.

"Your blood type…"

Stain muttered calmly.

"…easy to stop."

Iida's body trembled. But wouldn't move.

-Step.

-Step. -Step...

Stain walked toward him slowly. Like a judge approaching a sentence.

"You came here not as a hero…"

His voice was cold.

"But as someone seeking revenge."

He raised his blade.

"That is why you are weak."

"NOT SO FAST!"

Manual fired a stream of water. It blasted toward Stain.

Stain jumped sideways. Dodged cleanly.

"...."

Manual rushed forward.

"Iida! Stay conscious!"

But Stain was already moving again.

Faster. Sharper. Deadlier.

Manual attacked again. Water pressure blasts.

Trying to keep distance. Trying to stall. But Stain closed the gap instantly.

-CLANG!

Blade met resistance. Manual barely blocked.

Stain's movements were surgical.

Efficient. Every step calculated.

Manual gritted his teeth.

"…he's too fast."

Behind him—Iida could only watch.

Helpless. Frozen.

His mind screamed.

'Move. MOVE!'

But his body refused no matter how much he screamed.

Stain stepped past Manual. Back toward Iida.

Unhurried. Unstoppable.

"You are unworthy."

He raised his blade again.

"For using the name of a hero… for revenge."

The blade came down.

The alley had become a cage.

Tight. Suffocating. Unforgiving.

His body refused to move. His chest rose and fell unevenly.

But his mind—His mind was screaming.

'What have I done…?'

His eyes trembled as they shifted toward Manual.

Manual was injured. Bleeding.

Still trying to stand. Still trying to protect him.

Because of him. Because of his rage.

'I ignored orders… I ran in alone… I underestimated him…'

His gaze slowly returned to the man walking toward him.

"...."

Stain.

The one who defeated his brother. The one he thought he could stop.

'I was wrong. I was so… wrong.'

His fists trembled uselessly.

'Move… MOVE!'

Nothing. His body stayed locked. Helpless.

Stain stood over him now.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Silent.

Unshaken. His blade raised once more.

"You came here not as a hero…"

His voice echoed in the narrow alley.

"…but as someone consumed by vengeance."

Iida's eyes widened. Tears formed at the edges.

Not from fear. From truth.

"I…"

His voice broke.

"…I failed…"

Stain's grip tightened.

"Then accept your judgment."

The blade came down.

-WHOOOSH—!

A blur shot into the alley.

Fast. Wild. Unpolished. But desperate.

-THUD!

A kick slammed into Stain's arm. The blade was knocked off course.

It scraped against the ground instead of Iida.

Stain slid back a step.

For the first time—Interrupted.

A figure landed between them.

Breathing hard.

Green lightning flickering around his body.

Messy. Unstable. But standing firm.

It was—Izuku Midoriya.

Iida's eyes widened.

"...."

"…Midoriya…?"

Midoriya didn't turn back.

Didn't smile. Didn't speak immediately.

"...."

His fists clenched.

His stance shaky—But determined.

"Iida…"

His voice was low.

"…what were you thinking?"

There was no anger. Only concern. And urgency.

Before coming here—Midoriya had received it.

A sudden location ping.

From their class group. From Iida.

No explanation. Just a feeling.

A warning. And he followed it.

Without hesitation.

Fifteen minutes earlier...

The metro rattled through Hosu City, lights flickering across the windows as it cut through the urban maze.

Inside one of the cars sat Izuku Midoriya, breath still uneven from being kicked around by Gran Torino for what felt like three straight days.

"...."

Across from him, Gran Torino was half-dozing, half-watching him through narrowed eyes like a gremlin disguised as a pensioner.

"...."

Midoriya's phone vibrated. He glanced down.

A location ping...

From Tenya Iida.

No text. Just the location.

Midoriya's stomach dropped.

"That's weird," he muttered.

Gran Torino's eyes opened a little.

"What is?"

Midoriya held up the phone, anxiety already creeping into his voice.

"Iida just sent his location to our class group. No explanation. He wouldn't do that unless…"

He trailed off. Unless something was wrong.

Very wrong.

Gran Torino straightened.

"Your instincts say trouble?"

Midoriya nodded hearing his word.

-Nod

"Yeah."

That was enough.

Gran Torino's expression sharpened instantly.

"Then we move."

Both of them rose.

The train had barely begun slowing toward the next line when suddenly—

-BOOOOM!

The entire metro car lurched violently.

Passengers screamed. Metal shrieked.

A huge impact slammed into the side of the train from above.

The roof tore open like paper.

-CRAACK! -CRACK!

Wind howled through the shattered car as a massive shadow descended.

A flying Nomu.

Its warped wings beat heavily, grotesque muscles twisting under stitched flesh as it screeched and clawed at the train.

Gran Torino's expression darkened.

"...."

"…So that's their move."

Midoriya's eyes widened.

"A Nomu?! Here?!"

The creature slammed again, derailing sparks from the track and sending panic through the passengers.

Gran Torino shoved Midoriya toward the broken side door.

"Go!"

Midoriya blinked hearing what Gran Torino has said just now.

"But—"

"I'll handle the train!"

The old hero's voice became iron.

"You handle your friend!"

Another screech from the Nomu.

Gran Torino launched himself upward with terrifying speed, smashing straight into the monster's chest and driving it off the train roof.

"MOVE, DEKU!"

Midoriya gritted his teeth.

"...."

He looked once toward the chaos on the train.

Then toward the location on his phone.

Iida.

He made his choice.

"I'm going!"

Gran Torino didn't look back.

"Don't waste time!"

Midoriya jumped without any hesitation.

Leaping from the damaged metro onto the city structures below, he landed hard, rolled, then sprinted at full speed through Hosu's streets,

One For All crackling faintly around his legs.

Every second felt too slow. Every turn felt too long.

He vaulted railings. Cut through alleys. Followed the blinking location on his phone like it was a lifeline.

By the time he reached the dark alley—He saw it.

"...."

Stain.

Iida on the ground.

Manual injured. A blade coming down.

And without thinking—Midoriya kicked.

-BAM!!!

Right into the arc of death.

Meanwhile back at the alley...

Izuku Midoriya rushed forward, green lightning crackling across his limbs.

He swung—A direct punch.

Fast. Unrefined. But powerful.

Stain tilted his head. The punch missed by inches.

-SLASH.

His blade flicked again.

Midoriya twisted his body mid-motion, barely avoiding a deep cut, though the edge grazed his sleeve.

Stain's eyes sharpened.

"…reckless."

Midoriya gritted his teeth.

"I don't need to be perfect!"

He kicked forward.

Stain blocked with his dagger, sliding back slightly.

The alley echoed with sharp metallic clashes.

Midoriya had power.

Speed. Explosive bursts from One For All.

But Stain—Had experience.

Every movement was efficient. Every step precise.

He wasn't rushing. He was hunting.

Stain moved low. Close.

Inside Midoriya's guard. His blade flashed.

Midoriya barely reacted in time, jerking backward.

"...."

"Too slow,"

Stain muttered with wide grin.

-Grin!

Midoriya pushed forward again.

Punch. Kick. Step.

Each move faster than the last.

But messy. Unpredictable.

Stain adapted instantly. He read the rhythm.

Adjusted. Countered.

-CLANG... -SLASH...

-STEP...

He was slowly gaining ground.

Midoriya's breathing grew heavier.

'I can't let him touch me… Even a drop of blood—'

That was all Stain needed.

Stain suddenly changed tempo. He rushed in.

Closer than before.

Midoriya reacted—Too late.

"...."

The blade moved. A perfect angle. A clean cut aimed at his arm.

Midoriya's eyes widened in panic.

'I can't dodge this—!'

-CRASH!

The ground erupted. A massive ice pillar shot upward between them.

Sharp. Sudden. Violent.

The blade struck ice instead of flesh.

Stain jumped back instantly, landing lightly a few meters away.

"...."

His eyes shifted. Cold. Focused.

From the alley entrance—Cold air spread.

Frost crept along the walls. A figure stepped forward.

Calm. Composed.

Half his body faintly radiating cold.

It was—Shoto Todoroki. His gaze locked onto Stain.

"…I figured something was wrong."

Midoriya exhaled in relief.

"Todoroki!"

On the ground, Iida's eyes widened again.

'Another one…'

Stain looked between them. Three students now. One killer.

The odds had shifted. But his expression didn't change.

Not fear. Not concern. Only judgment.

"…more children."

He adjusted his grip on the blade.

"…show me …which of you is worthy."

The alley temperature dropped further.

Ice spread across the ground.

Midoriya steadied his stance.

"...."

Lightning flickered again.

And behind them—Iida, still frozen, watched.

This time not with rage. But with something else.

Understanding.

The real fight—Had just escalated.
