The ice hadn't come from nowhere.

It came from someone who had been moving the moment that message appeared.

A location. No explanation.

Just instinct. Just urgency.

From the far end of the alley, frost still creeping along the walls, stood Shoto Todoroki.

His breath was steady. His eyes sharp.

-Huff...

"...."

He had already been in Hosu City—interning under his father's agency.

The moment he saw Iida's location in the class group—He moved.

No hesitation. No questions. Just action.

What he arrived to see:

• Iida — paralyzed on the ground

• A hero who too was injured.

• Manual — injured

• Midoriya — barely holding his ground

• And at the center of it all—Stain

Todoroki didn't waste time analyzing further. He acted as ice surged. The pillar erupted.

And the killing blow was stopped.

Cold air filled the alley. Frost spread beneath their feet.

Midoriya steadied himself, breathing hard.

"Todoroki…!"

Todoroki didn't look at him. His focus stayed on Stain.

"You're reckless," he said calmly.

Then, after a slight pause—

"…but you did the right thing coming."

On the ground, Iida's eyes widened.

"...."

He couldn't move. But he understood.

They came. Both of them. Because of him.

Stain slowly turned his head.

His gaze moved between the three students.

Midoriya. Todoroki. Iida.

"…interesting."

He stepped forward slightly. Blade angled low.

"You answered a call. You moved for others."

His eyes narrowed.

"…that is closer to a hero."

But his grip tightened.

"…closer is not enough."

Midoriya stepped beside Todoroki.

Electricity flickered weakly around him.

"I can't let him get close," he muttered.

Todoroki nodded slightly.

-Nod

"I'll control distance."

Ice began forming again at his feet.

Behind them—Manual struggled to stand.

"Iida… stay conscious…"

And Iida—Still frozen—Watched everything unfold.

This time not as someone chasing revenge.

But as someone witnessing what a real hero looked like.

Three students. One killer.

But now—They were not acting alone.

Not blindly. Not recklessly.

Stain adjusted his stance.

His scarf fluttered in the cold air.

"…come."

Izuku Midoriya moved first.

"RIGHT—!"

He dashed forward, lightning bursting around his legs.

A punch flew straight toward Stain.

At the same moment—Ice surged.

Shoto Todoroki froze the ground beneath Stain's feet, trying to limit his movement.

For a split second—It worked.

But only for a split second. Stain twisted.

His body moved like a shadow slipping through cracks.

Midoriya's punch grazed past him.

-BANG!

"...."

Ice shattered under precise footwork.

-CLANG!

His blade clashed against Midoriya's arm guard.

"Midoriya—left!"

Todoroki called out noticing the Stain's movements.

Midoriya reacted instantly.

He pivoted. Kicked.

Stain ducked low.

Then countered—Fast. Too fast.

A blade swept upward.

Midoriya jerked back just in time.

"...."

A shallow cut sliced through his sleeve.

He gritted his teeth.

'Too close—!'

Stain didn't rush this time.

He read. Adapted. Controlled the flow.

"You rely on power,"

He muttered toward Midoriya.

Then his eyes shifted to Todoroki.

"And you… on distance."

He moved suddenly—Straight through the ice field.

A zigzag motion. Unpredictable. He closed the gap.

Todoroki reacted quickly.

Another ice wall surged up.

But Stain was already inside. Too close.

-CLASH!

Blade met ice at point-blank range.

Fragments shattered.

-SHATTER! -SHATTER!

Todoroki stepped back.

Just barely avoiding a strike to his shoulder.

Midoriya rushed in again.

"GET BACK!"

He threw a punch.

Stain blocked—Then used the momentum—To twist and redirect.

Midoriya stumbled forward.

They were strong. Together.

But not synchronized enough. Not yet.

Stain exploited every gap. Every hesitation.

Every imperfect timing.

On the ground—Still paralyzed—Tenya Iida could only watch.

His fists trembled uselessly.

'Stop… Stop fighting… You'll get hurt…'

His eyes widened as Midoriya barely dodged another slash.

As Todoroki was forced back again.

'This is my fault.'

His chest tightened.

'I dragged them here… Because of my revenge… Because I acted alone…'

Manual groaned nearby. Injured.

Because of him.

Midoriya—Risking his life.

Because of him.

Todoroki—Fighting here. Because of him.

'I…'

His vision blurred.

'I failed as a hero.'

But then—He remembered.

Midoriya's voice. Not angry. Not blaming.

"What were you thinking?"

And Todoroki—Who came without hesitation.

They didn't come for revenge.

They came—To save. To protect. Even him.

Iida's breathing steadied slightly.

'No… This isn't about me anymore.'

Izuku Midoriya rushed forward again.

Faster. More desperate.

Green lightning cracked around his limbs.

"SMASH—!"

He lunged looking for a opening.

But—Stain had already read him.

A feint. A sidestep. A flick of the blade—

-SLASH!

A clean cut across Midoriya's arm.

Midoriya froze seeing this gritting his teeth in frustration.

'That's bad—!'

Stain's eyes gleamed. His tongue darted out with a smirk.

-LICK.

Midoriya's body locked instantly. His momentum died mid-step.

"...."

His eyes widened in pure panic.

"W-What—?!"

He couldn't move. Couldn't even fall properly.

His body betrayed him completely.

"Midoriya!"

Shoto Todoroki reacted instantly.

Ice surged forward.

A massive wave aimed to push Stain back.

But Stain leapt. Clean. Effortless.

He landed behind Midoriya.

-Thud.

Inside the guard. Inside the defense.

Too close.

Todoroki's eyes widened.

'Too late—!'

Stain stood over Midoriya. Blade raised.

The scarf fluttered behind him.

"You have spirit."

His voice was calm. Cold.

"But no control."

Midoriya's breathing shook. His mind screamed.

'Move—! MOVE—!'

Nothing.

"...."

His body refused. Fear gripped his chest.

The blade came down. Death in motion.

-VROOOOM!

A roar tore through the alley. Engines screamed.

A blur of blue and steel shot forward—

-BAM!

A powerful kick slammed into Stain's side. The blade's trajectory shattered.

"...."

Stain was launched back. Sliding across the ground.

Standing between Midoriya and Stain—Breathing hard—Was Tenya Iida.

His paralysis—Gone.

His engines—Burning. But his eyes—Different.

No longer blinded by rage.

Clear. Focused. Resolved.

"I will not…"

His voice trembled slightly.

But held firm.

"…make the same mistake again."

Behind him, Midoriya stared.

"…Iida…"

Todoroki steadied himself.

Watching. Evaluating.

Iida took a step forward. Facing Stain directly.

"This time…"

His fists clenched.

"…I fight to protect."

Not for revenge. Not for anger. Not for pride.

Protection.

Stain slowly stood up.

Dust falling from his shoulders.

He looked at Iida. Long. Carefully.

Then—A faint smile.

"…good."

He adjusted his grip on his blade.

"That is the difference."

The air tightened again.

But something had changed.

This was no longer a broken formation. No longer chaos.

Now—They stood together.

Three students. One purpose.

The final phase of the battle—Had begun.

Tenya Iida moved first.

"RECIPRO BURST!"

His engines roared to life.

This time— Not reckless. Not blinded.

He dashed forward with controlled speed, circling wide.

Creating an opening.

"Midoriya—now!"

Iida's voice cut through the chaos.

Izuku Midoriya, still partially paralyzed, forced his body to respond.

His fingers twitched. Then his arm.

Pain shot through him. But he moved.

Green lightning flickered weakly around him.

"I'm—going!"

Shoto Todoroki advanced steadily. Ice spread across the ground again.

This time—Not to trap. To guide. To control Stain's movement.

Stain dodged Iida's high-speed kick.

Blocked Todoroki's ice.

Turned—Only to face Midoriya rushing straight at him.

For the first time—Stain was forced into a narrow space.

No clean escape. No perfect angle. All three moved in sync. Not perfect. But united.

Midoriya clenched his fist.

Every muscle screamed. Every nerve burned.

But he pushed through.

"For everyone—!"

He swung with all his might.

-SMASH!

The punch connected.

Not clean. Not perfect. But enough.

For Stain to staggered.

"Now!"

Todoroki slammed his hand to the ground.

-CRASH!

Ice erupted upward. Massive. Relentless. It swallowed Stain's legs. Climbed his torso.

Locked his arms. Freezing him in place. Completely immobilized.

The alley fell quiet.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Steam rose from the ice.

Midoriya dropped to one knee, breathing hard.

Iida stood still, chest heaving.

Todoroki lowered his hand slowly.

Stain—Captured. Frozen and defeated.

Even trapped—He did not look afraid. He looked at them.

One by one.

"…you…"

His voice was low.

"…are closer."

His eyes lingered on Midoriya.

Then Iida. Then Todoroki.

"…to true heroes."

The sirens began approaching in the distance.

Red and blue lights flickered at the end of the street.

Iida slowly lowered his head.

"…I'm sorry."

To Midoriya. To Todoroki. To Manual.

Midoriya shook his head weakly.

"…we're okay."

Todoroki added calmly.

"Focus on what comes next."

The three stood there.

Bruised. Exhausted. But together in this.

The Hero Killer Stain—A man who hunted heroes—Had been stopped.

Not by pros.

But by three students.

Who had finally understood—What it truly meant to be heroes.

Sirens carved through the night.

Red and blue lights flooded the alley in Hosu City, painting the scene in sharp flashes.

Steam still rose from the thick ice binding Stain.

The battle—Was over.

Heavy footsteps echoed at the alley entrance.

-Thud. -Thud.

-Thud. -Thud.

Then—Heat.

A sudden surge of heat rolled through the cold air.

Flames flickered into view.

Stepping into the alley was the towering figure of Endeavor.

His eyes scanned the scene instantly.

His son and his friends. Injured hero.

"...."

Captured villain. His gaze lingered on Stain.

"…so this is the Hero Killer."

His voice was low. Controlled.

Behind him, pro heroes and police began flooding in.

The ice slowly melted at the edges.

Manual pushed himself up, wincing slightly.

"…kids…"

His voice carried relief.

"…you're alive."

Medical teams rushed in.

Stretchers unfolded.

The previously injured pro hero was quickly secured and lifted.

"Vitals stable!"

"Move him out!"

The ambulance doors slammed shut and sped off into the night.

A blur landed on the wall.

Then dropped lightly to the ground.

It was Gran Torino.

He glanced around once. Took in everything.

Then his eyes landed on Midoriya.

"…you made it."

Midoriya gave a weak, exhausted nod.

"Y-Yes…"

Gran Torino smirked slightly.

-Smirk!

"Didn't die. Good start."

Endeavor stepped forward, flames still flickering along his shoulders.

"I encountered a Nomu on the way."

The alley quieted slightly.

"It had regeneration and considerable strength."

He clenched his fist slightly.

"I destroyed its brain."

Flames flared briefly.

"Burned the rest to ash."

A heavy silence followed.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Another Nomu.

Another sign—That something bigger was moving in the shadows.

Iida stood still. Looking at Stain.

"...."

Then at his hands.

Then slowly bowed his head.

"…I will accept whatever punishment is given."

Midoriya looked at him.

Tired. But calm.

"…we'll face it together."

Todoroki stood quietly beside them.

Observing. Thinking.

"...."

Even restrained. Even surrounded.

Even defeated—Stain stood like a blade that hadn't dulled.

His eyes moved toward Endeavor. No fear. Only judgment.

"…another false hero."

Endeavor's flames flared slightly. But he didn't respond.
