Chapter 525 - Chapter 524: Resume Recruitment

Moreover, Tsunade was the cherished granddaughter of the First Hokage. If word got out that Princess Tsunade was serving her in-laws daily after marriage, the villagers would probably storm their house and devour the old couple. So, to avoid a lot of unnecessary gossip, moving out was the best solution.

Harmony in the family ensured prosperity. The Katō Clan was in a period of continuous growth and couldn't let unnecessary matters affect its development. Shōzan was counting on his clan becoming a prominent one someday.

After staying for a while at the Katō home, Torifu and Naori returned to their own residence. The assigned tasks were complete, and Torifu didn't need to concern himself much with the rest.

Upon returning to the clan grounds, Torifu sent the intelligent puppet to work in the office. In less than half an hour, a notice from the Hokage's Office was posted on Konoha Village's notice board.

"Konoha has newly opened a fireworks factory and requires two thousand workers for fireworks production. Those interested should submit their resumes to the Hokage's Office!"

"Great! A new factory is finally opening again! I wasn't hired last time, but this time it'll surely work!"

"Yeah, I didn't get in last time either, it was a real pity. Now there's another chance!"

As early as when Torifu established his first factory, he had already set the recruitment process. Similar to the job hunting model from his previous life, villagers submitted their written resumes, and then Torifu found people to review them. The only difference was that no interview was needed; a rough look was enough. After all, they weren't recruiting core talent, just selecting two thousand from over ten thousand villagers. No one had the spare time for interviews.

However, the villagers were still in the nascent stage of understanding resumes and couldn't embellish them too much. They just wrote what was relevant, which made them seem more authentic.

"Oh, right, we've been so fixated on the new factory, but what exactly are these 'fireworks'?"

At this, everyone indeed felt a little confused. They had never heard the name 'fireworks' before. But the smarter villagers had already connected these 'fireworks' to the beautiful display from last night. This notion was quickly accepted by the villagers. After realizing they were going to create such beautiful things, the villagers' enthusiasm grew even greater.

What's more, even people from other factories secretly asked their managers if they could transfer positions. All at once, the entire Konoha Village began to discuss it, and this was exactly the effect Torifu wanted. The Kage hadn't even left yet, and Konoha Village had already announced it was going to start building a factory to produce fireworks. The Kage must have felt even more at ease.

The village was a hive of activity, with everyone submitting the resumes they had prepared for a long time to the Hokage's Office. This kept the secretaries extremely busy, as they were constantly running back and forth, almost without rest.

Meanwhile, the Kumotsuru Clan's side was a picture of tranquility. Torifu and Naori lay on rocking chairs in the center of the courtyard, basking in the sun. By this time, the sun was already beginning to dip, so it wasn't particularly strong, just pleasantly warm.

"On weekdays, you don't go to the Hokage Tower, you just bask in the sun at home?"

Naori had two cucumber slices on her eyes; Torifu had told her it was for wrinkles and such.

Torifu clasped his hands behind his head and leisurely rocked his chair: "Of course. What do people live for, if not to live a comfortable life? Now Konoha Village is very peaceful, and the villagers are all very happy and content. As the Hokage, I'm naturally happy too, so I should enjoy it even more."

It sounded like sophistry, but Naori didn't know how to refute it. After all, the work efficiency of the puppet in the Hokage Tower was much higher than Torifu's own. If Torifu really went to work himself, it was hard to say whether it would be good or bad for Konoha Village. So Naori simply no longer bothered with these matters and peacefully basked in the sun with Torifu.

Although Torifu indulged in some comfort on weekdays, he had not neglected the village's development at all. So Naori didn't think it was a big deal. The village was currently well-ordered and developing very well, and that was already enough. The two lay there until evening, occasionally taking out their phones to play games for a while. Time thus slipped away.

Around five or six in the evening, Yahiko and Konan got out of school. The two children bounced back, seemingly very happy.

"What happened? You're so happy. Tell your Mistress too?"

Upon hearing this, Yahiko and Konan immediately ran to Naori's side: "Mistress, we were praised by our teacher today! He said we were diligent in our studies and made much faster progress than our classmates, hehe."

Naori stroked the two children's heads with both hands: "That's wonderful! As expected of Yahiko and Konan. You must continue to work hard in the future, understand?"

"Mm! We will!"

Torifu watched all of this from the side. He hadn't expected Naori to be so good with kids. If the two of them had children, Naori would definitely be a good mother.

Torifu opened the system shop and selected two herbs that could stabilize chakra and increase talent, rewarding them to Yahiko and Konan. He didn't say what they were, just told them to eat them.

"It's so bitter, Master!"

After Yahiko ate it, his expression immediately became like a bitter gourd; he felt terrible.

Torifu couldn't help but laugh when he saw this: "Hahaha, good medicine tastes bitter. This stuff is good for you. Konan, you should eat yours quickly too."

Konan was a very obedient little girl; when her Master told her to eat it, she swallowed it directly. After a brief moment of making a face of pain, a smile returned to her face.

"Master, why do I feel warm all over?" Yahiko suddenly said.

Torifu waved his hand dismissively: "It's nothing, the medicine's effects are kicking in. You two can start training right now to maximize its effects."

Hearing Torifu's words, the two little ones dared not hesitate and immediately sat cross-legged on the ground to begin training.

"What did you give them to eat?" Naori asked, a little confused.

"Back then, to enable Nawaki to maximize Master's Wood Release, I fed him all sorts of herbs to enhance talent or chakra. What I gave Yahiko and Konan was one of them, something that can increase talent."

"There won't be any side effects, will there?"

The herbs Torifu mentioned existed in the ninja world, but most of them had side effects, often at the cost of depleting one's life force.

Torifu sat up and looked at Naori: "Am I a foolish person? These two kids are my disciples; how could I harm them?" The herbs purchased from the system shop were probably products from other worlds and couldn't be compared to the chakra plants of the ninja world.
