Chapter 711 - Chapter 711: The Technological Fish Pond And Fish Fry

"I hope you sleep for four or five more years, so I can have some peace and quiet."

Torifu looked at the sparkling Positioning Gate before him and reached out to take the Chakra Condensation Bead from the altar. Immediately, the altar's light vanished into thin air, and it returned to being an ordinary stone block. The Positioning Gate also reverted to its original appearance, no longer flashing with any light.

"Since the system is going to sleep, you two should sleep too. Although this thing can teleport me to the Original Naruto World, I absolutely won't use it until the Chaos Event is issued."

Heaven knew whether any uncontrollable dangers would arise during the teleportation. Having the system around provided an extra layer of security. Torifu was not such a thrill-seeker. Although he was very curious about the Original Naruto World, he was in no immediate hurry. It wouldn't be too late to go when the system woke up and issued the Chaos Event.

Currently, Konoha still had a lot on its plate. The establishment of the factory and matters concerning the aquatics industry all required Torifu's supervision and handling. With so many things unfinished, how could Torifu possibly be in the mood to go playing in another world?

"Alright, next time I come back, I'll be able to witness the spectacle of the Original Naruto World. Take care."

With that, Torifu turned and left the back courtyard. After briefly orienting himself, he swiftly exited the compound left by the Kumotsuru Clan Ancestor. The moment he stepped out of the gate, everything around him was once again enveloped in cloud mist. When he opened his eyes again, Torifu had returned to the dense forest. He then quickly followed the path he came on and returned to Konoha.

This trip took significantly less time than Torifu had estimated, finishing in only about half a day. Naori was a little surprised to see Torifu return. "Didn't you say it would take at least a day, or up to a week? How are you back in half a day? That's too fast!"

Torifu scratched his head. "Well, plans change, don't they? Anyway, the matter is concluded."

Naori nodded. "That's good. It's almost noon, and you're back just in time for lunch. Come and eat." Naori hadn't originally prepared a portion for Torifu, but now that he was back, she had to quickly make an extra dish.

Konan and Yahiko both asked Torifu what he had been up to, but Torifu just smiled and said nothing. He did not answer them. If he told these young ones that in a few years he would take them to a parallel world for a mission, he wondered if they would think Torifu was just boasting. Torifu had no way to prove the truth of his words right now, and saying anything would just be treated as a joke. So he didn't bother arguing with the children about it.

After lunch, Torifu began to resolve the tasks he needed to address, one by one. The most crucial was the issue of fry for the aquatics industry. The system had actually presented a product before the Chaos Event was issued. It looked like a large fish pond, though its exterior was merely a decorative landscape feature. In reality, it was a piece of technology. Because its function was too advanced and ridiculous, Torifu had never spoken about it. Now was the time to use it.

Torifu arrived at the fry sales shop on Center Street. This place used to be an empty building owned by a businessman. Torifu had simply renovated it, turning it into the most critical location for the aquatics industry. The room was completely empty. However, Torifu paid no mind and walked straight up to the second floor.

[T/N: Okay, so in aquaculture, the term Fry is a generic term that is applied to the juveniles of most fish species. Don't get confused with the cooking term lol.]

The upstairs area was very spacious. After nodding, Torifu took a miniature fish pond from his spatial ring. It looked to be about 10 centimeters. Torifu placed it on the floor and quickly backed away. In less than half a minute, the miniature fish pond began to expand, gradually embedding itself into the floor. Soon, it transformed into a large, ten-square-meter fish pond. The water inside was blue and extremely clear. The edges of the fish pond, like the replicator, were mechanical in design, full of a technological feel, and adorned with blue light strips.

Torifu took a small goldfish from his spatial ring and dropped it into the pond. However, the goldfish did not swim happily upon entering the large body of water. Instead, it was frozen as if frame-locked, becoming completely still in the water. A holographic panel projected from the fish pond appeared before Torifu: [Ding, Detected Fish species. Analysis result is Wakin goldfish. Would you like to produce high-quality fry?]

"Yes."

[Please confirm the production quantity.]

"One hundred tails."

As soon as Torifu finished speaking, he felt a minute trace of his chakra being drawn away. This amount of chakra was less than a speck of dust compared to Torifu's total reserve. It could be called imperceptible. After a brief delay, one hundred tiny fry, barely visible to the naked eye, appeared inside the pond. They were also completely still.

"Extract."

At Torifu's command, a mass of water separated from the pond, enveloped the fry, and presented itself before Torifu. Torifu waved his hand, and all the fry dissolved.

"It's very user-friendly and simple to operate. All it needs to produce fry is one fish and chakra. Even an idiot could manage it." But Torifu did not intend to hand this task over to anyone else. He would have a clone permanently stationed here to prevent outsiders from learning about this device. All the windows on the second floor had been treated by Torifu, so there was no fear of being spied upon.

In this way, the production of fry could be guaranteed, which was entirely sufficient to supply the needs of the entire Ninja World. The aquatics industry plan could now officially commence. Torifu left after stationing a clone and an original puppet here. People would still be sent to complete the remaining renovations, but the second floor required none. The clone was responsible for production, and the puppet was responsible for transport—a perfect arrangement.

With the aquatics matter handled, the rest could be delegated to Anka. The factory aspect was basically a matter of time. Torifu had already finished all his instructions, and he was quite confident in Kon's work ethic. Now, there was only one last matter to worry about.

[T/N: Phew, this chapter had me confused for a while, like wtf is a fry, searched the chinese term around a bit, and came to know that it's an aquaculture term. And these frys are counted in 'tails' term. First i thought the system glitched and gave him cooked food lol.]
