Chapter 502: Familiar Demons
Douluo Star.
Slaughter City.
As the God Realm underwent its transformation, a similar change was occurring with Tang San.
Being merely a split soul of the Asura God, his fate was never truly his own. The moment the Asura God fully embraced his demonic nature, Tang San completely lost his sense of self, reverting to nothing more than the Asura God's clone.
Compared to the ancient and vast memories of the Asura God, Tang San's meager decades of experience were nothing more than a speck of dust. The torrent of divine recollections instantly erased his individual existence Tang San ceased to be, leaving only the Asura God's demonic clone in his place.
"It is time to settle everything!"
Even though Tang San's original consciousness had been erased, the lingering pain and resentment from his past humiliations in this world remained. These feelings festered and merged with the Asura God's own bloodthirsty desires, pushing him toward a singular purpose
To sacrifice Douluo Star to the Abyss!
Boom!
At that moment, the entire Douluo Star began to quake violently.
The once clear blue sky was suddenly enveloped by a chaotic swirl of ominous gray and crimson clouds.
Darkness shrouded the world, with countless scarlet lightning bolts crackling through the sky. And at the very center of the storm
A colossal spatial rift tore open, stretching wider and wider like the gaping maw of a world devouring behemoth!
A malevolent aura, overflowing with chaos, evil, and corruption, poured forth from the abyssal fissure, rapidly spreading across the land.
The space trembled.
The earth roared.
A mighty and corrupting force descended upon the world, sinking its claws deep into reality itself.
This scene one that had appeared countless times in the Q&A revelations
Had finally become reality!
But unlike what was shown in the videos, the people of Douluo Star did not panic.
They had long been prepared for this day.
For years, they had known that the Abyssal Invasion was inevitable. They had mentally steeled themselves and made careful preparations.
So when the Abyssal Portal burst open and hordes of demons poured forth there was no fear, only readiness.
After all, over the years, they had already faced numerous demons from other timelines and future invasions. This was nothing new.
And so, as the Abyssal army flooded the skies, the forces of Douluo Star calmly deployed countermeasures
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Massive barriers suddenly materialized over each city, forming protective domes that repelled the incoming horde of demons like an iron fortress against a tidal wave.
Then
From the depths of these fortified cities, the deadliest modern weaponry emerged.
Soul guided cannons, enhanced with anti demonic energy, unleashed a blinding storm of firepower upon the Abyssal invaders.
A single artillery volley tore through hundreds of demons, splattering their toxic black blood across the land.
And yet
Even as demonic bodies crumbled beneath the relentless assault, their corrupting blood seeped into the soil, trying to infest the very fabric of this world with Abyssal corruption.
Meanwhile
The God Realm, once a radiant celestial paradise, had now been fully swallowed by a putrid crimson and black haze.
The Asura God, now fully demonized, let out a wicked decree.
"Descend upon Douluo Star! Corrupt everything in sight!"
At his command
The former gods of the God Realm, now twisted into Abyssal demons, howled madly as they poured through the Abyssal Rift, joining the invasion of Douluo Star.
Upon sensing the arrival of god level demons, the elite warriors of Douluo Star, who had long been standing by, equipped themselves with their specialized weaponry and set out to intercept the invaders.
Among them
Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong were at the vanguard.
Before them stood several demonic figures, and strangely enough
They recognized them.
Or rather, they felt an eerie familiarity with these demons.
"Grahhh!"
One of the demons, feline in nature, had bull like horns, scaly armor, and an untamed, bloodthirsty aura.
Zhu Zhuqing's expression darkened.
A suspicion surfaced in her mind one so absurd that she dared not voice it.
The other demons included:
A tiger like beast, wreathed in flames and shadow.A bird like monstrosity, its wings pulsating with dark energy.A rabbit shaped abomination, wielding a massive flesh club.A twisted figure, clutching a tower of writhing flesh.
As Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong exchanged glances, their thoughts aligned
They had already guessed the true identities of these creatures.
Without hesitation they attacked.
The bird like demon was the first to fall slain by Zhu Zhuqing.
As its demonic aura dissipated, the grotesque form unraveled revealing the scarlet haired, gaunt body of a man who fell lifelessly to the ground.
Zhu Zhuqing's suspicion was confirmed.
These demons had not yet been fully corrupted meaning their original selves still lingered within. If left unchecked, they would have completely lost their humanity.
In a way killing them now was an act of mercy.
Next
The rabbit shaped demon, wielding its grotesque flesh club, lunged at Ning Rongrong.
But before it could land a strike BANG!
A single soul guided bullet pierced its heart, imbued with destructive energy, annihilating the demon in an instant.
As its body crumbled, a familiar man's face emerged from the fading corruption.
"Oscar..." Ning Rongrong murmured.
She had expected it, but seeing it with her own eyes still left a bitter taste in her heart.
So, that meant…
Without hesitation, she turned her gun toward the demon carrying the fleshy tower.
Meanwhile
Zhu Zhuqing vanquished the tiger like demon, revealing a golden haired man beneath its monstrous shell.
In his final moments, his gaze met hers complex and unreadable.
But Zhu Zhuqing felt nothing.
She had no intention of reciprocating his emotions, nor did she waste any time dwelling on it.
Without pause, she turned to the feline horned demon
And ended its life with a single, decisive strike.
As the demonic corruption dispersed, Zhu Zhuqing was greeted with a mirror image of her own face.
"Just as I thought…"
Zhu Zhuqing stared down at her alternate self, the corrupted version that had succumbed to the Abyss.
She felt no pity, no regret only certainty.
At this point
It was clear that the God Realm had fallen completely.
She and Ning Rongrong needed to report this immediately
Their teacher… their brother… had to know.
