Chapter 233 - Go home

"Being a good person really isn't easy," we complained jokingly as we left the shopping mall and walked back to the parking lot. "Let's go, next stop is the coastal highway!" The entire group hit the road again, full of enthusiasm.

"Hubby's performance earlier was just so beautiful. You have to play for us again tonight when we get back~" Suōshā said, still reminiscent and eager for more.

"Sure, sure, sure. You can listen to it whenever you want. When you have the time, you can also learn some instruments, and we can even put on a concert in Eden in the future," I said, holding the steering wheel.

After leaving the city center, we drove along the suburban highway toward the sea. After driving for about half an hour, we finally arrived at the coastal promenade. "We're here!" The moment we stepped out of the car, a vista of pure azure greeted our eyes, and a gentle sea breeze brushed against our cheeks. "The scenery here is wonderful too~" Enis sighed after getting out of the car.

"Let's go down, play in the sand, and collect some seashells," I smiled, leading the three of them down the walkway onto the pristine white sand. A few scattered tourists were splashing in the water, so we rolled up our pants and tucked up our skirts to play in the sand. "The sea and sky blend into one here; it's a mesmerizing view. When we get back, let's build a beach and a sea layout in Eden so everyone can play whenever they want," Suōshā proposed.

"No problem, I'll get right on it when we return. Playing some beach volleyball would be a lot of fun too," I suggested with a laugh.

"Beach volleyball? What's that?" Enis asked.

"A kind of ball sport, I'll teach you all slowly when the time comes."

"Come look, quickly! There's a strange creature here," Zi Mi called us over.Walking closer to take a look, it turned out to be a hermit crab. "This is a creature unique to Earth called a hermit crab. It's a marine organism that crawls into the discarded shell of another marine organism to live," I explained to them. "I see, how fascinating," Zi Mi marveled. After playing on the beach for a while, we drove over to a museum to learn about the historical development of humanity. Before we knew it, evening had arrived. "Tonight, let's go eat some Western fast food that you've never tried before," I proposed.

"What kind of food is that?" Enis asked, puzzled.

"It's a kind of food similar to fried chicken. You'll know once you come with me," I stepped on the gas and drove toward our destination. We arrived at a burger joint. Seeing that the second floor wasn't crowded, I told them to go up and grab a table first while Enis and I ordered downstairs.

"When we go back in a bit, let's bring some back for the Divine Pillars to try. Leaving them at home all day makes me feel a bit bad for them," I suddenly suggested.

"Sure, let's buy a few extra portions then. Also, always calling them 'Divine Pillars' feels a bit strange. How about we give them all different names in the future?" Enis brought up open-mindedly, and I gladly accepted the idea.

After waiting for a short while, we finally got our food. The two of us carried the meals up to the second floor, and everyone once again dug into these novel items. "This bun has a bit of a pungent, stinging taste," Zi Mi seemed unaccustomed to spicy food.

"Ah, my bad. Let's swap ours. They added a seasoning called chili in there, I didn't know you couldn't handle spicy food." I swapped my shrimp burger with hers.

"No, it's fine, Hubby. I'll slowly get used to it in the future..." she scrambled to decline.

"Oh, come on, just take this burger. Don't be so polite with me, this one should suit your taste perfectly," I smiled and forced the swap. Zi Mi shyly accepted the burger and began to savor it.

"This black drink tastes pretty good too~" Suōshā said, sipping her Coca-Cola.

"This beverage is known as 'Happy Water' on my home planet. Rumor has it that if you drink too much of it, you'll gain weight," I explained with a chuckle.

"Then... this concubine better drink less of it," hearing this, Suōshā set down her cola.

"We only eat this once in a blue moon, how could you gain weight that easily? Go ahead and enjoy it, don't worry," I comforted her.

"We've actually made these things called French fries before~" Enis picked up a fry and began to chew. "Yeah, it's the exact same thing, made from potatoes," I replied while eating a chicken nugget.

After everyone thoroughly enjoyed this delicious meal, we ordered an additional eight full portions of food to go. "Alright, it's getting late. Let's head back for today. I wonder if they've made a mess of Eden," I said, carrying two large bags of takeout, while Suōshā and Zi Mi helped by carrying one bag each.

"Mhm, let's go back. I hope they aren't starving. Even though they are energy bodies and don't actually need to eat, it wouldn't feel right for us to secretly eat so many good things without bringing any back for them~" Suōshā agreed with a smile.

We drove to an empty, secluded area, and then I teleported the car along with all of us straight back to Eden. "We're home, wives," I turned off the engine, and everyone got out of the car.

"Where are they?" I looked around. Eden was currently experiencing sunset as the moon rose, its time-field almost completely synchronized with Earth's. "Yeah, where are they?" Enis scanned the area too. I instantly tracked their aura and found them—every single one of them was slumped over the floors and sofas inside the house. "This looks a bit bad, let's hurry inside," I called out to the three of them, and we quickly entered the house.

Opening the door, it was exactly as I had perceived through my divine sight. The eight girls were strewn all over the place, looking as if they had lost all will to live.

"Master is going to abandon me~" "Master is going to let me starve to death~" "Master is going to torture me~"

The Divine Pillars complained, their stomachs grumbling for theatrical effect.

"My bad, my bad! I completely lost track of time. Look, I brought back tons of delicious food to make it up to you~" I hurriedly unpacked the takeout on the coffee table, and Enis and the others stepped in to help pull the Divine Pillars up. As the savory aroma drifted through the room, the Divine Pillars instantly revitalized and swarmed the food.

"Sorry about that, everyone. This is the dinner we brought back for you, please eat to your heart's content~" Man, as their Master, I really had zero commanding presence. Even though I knew they were just playing dramatic for my attention, I couldn't bring myself to scold them. Suōshā and Zi Mi could only shake their heads helplessly at the sight.

"So delicious~ Master is a big meanie~" The Divine Pillars wolfed down the food like wild animals. I walked outside first to drive the car over and park it properly. Eden had vast lands and wide roads, so having a few cars would make getting around much easier. Sure, we could just teleport wherever we wanted to go, but doing that all the time took away a bit of the fun of living.
