Chapter 232 - The Four of Us Out Strolling

Thanks to our early arrival, we secured a nice window seat and sat down comfortably to order. "Wives, you choose first. Just remember, it's best to order your beef cooked medium-well or well-done; if it's too rare, you might not be used to the taste," I guided the three of them through the menu while picking out a few side dishes.

"I'll go with this one called the Sirloin Steak Black Pepper Combo. What about you two?" Enis was the first to make her choice. Suōshā opted for the Australian Filet Mignon, while Zi Mi selected the lamb chops. I ordered the Filet Mignon along with Suōshā. Once the ordering was done, I relaxed my posture and slumped back in a lazy, comfortable lean.

"Hubby, are you sleepy?" Suōshā asked, noticing my posture. "Oh, no, I'm fine. It's just more comfortable sitting like this," I straightened my back slightly to sit up a bit properly. "Where are we heading after lunch?" Enis asked me. "Since it's a rare trip back to this era, I'll take you to a few different places to stroll around. We have plenty of time anyway," I replied with a smile.

"By the way, this concubine noticed a device on our way here that looks a bit similar to the one we have at home—pitch-black with three legs. What exactly is that?" Zi Mi inquired.

"Oh, that thing. On Earth, it's a musical instrument called a piano. My apologies, the one at home hasn't been used even once yet. When we have time, I'll definitely show off my skills for you to see~" I replied with a laugh. Speaking of the piano, I had taken lessons since I was a child and was actually quite proficient. Perhaps I could perform a piece over there after we finished eating. As we chatted, our combo meals were delivered one after another. As the waiter lifted the lids, sizzling sounds from the iron plates erupted, and a wonderful aroma wafted up, presenting a display of delicious food right before our eyes.

"This looks absolutely delicious, I'm digging in~" Suōshā was the first to pick up her knife and fork, and the rest of us quickly followed suit, savoring our respective meals. "How delicious~ the flavor isn't quite the same as what we cook at home; it has its own unique character~" Enis praised endlessly. Although I had eaten plenty of Earth's steaks, this was a rare experience for the three of them, so they managed to find a sense of novelty in every bite.

We sampled bits of each other's food while helping ourselves to some of the buffet items. After a while, everyone had eaten their fill. "That was truly excellent, this concubine is finished~" Suōshā wiped her mouth, looking completely satisfied. I headed over to the counter to settle the bill. "I've paid. Do you all want to sit here a while longer, or shall we head out?" I asked, looking at the three of them.

"Heading out, of course! Didn't Hubby say he was going to perform a piece for us just now? This concubine can hardly wait~" Zi Mi said, her face brimming with excitement. I let out a soft chuckle and gestured for everyone to move.

A Melody Across Time

Our group returned to the leisure area we had passed earlier, where a brand-new Yamaha grand piano stood quietly on display. "Looks like no one is using it. Alright, wives, what would you like to hear?" I asked for their input. "We're not sure. Whatever Hubby plays will be wonderful~" Enis said with a warm smile. "Okay, then I'll play a piece I often practice—To Love's End." I pulled out the bench and sat down, lifting the wooden fallboard. Stroking the black and white keys I hadn't touched in ages, I felt a wave of nostalgia.

As I struck the first note, a clear, melancholic piano melody slowly flowed out. The rhythm, fluctuating in speed, struck a chord in everyone's hearts. I performed with absolute focus, entirely unaware of the crowd that was gradually gathering around us. The mournful, beautiful melody steadily escalated to its climax. This widely popular piece took on a fresh flavor under my customized variations. As the final chord drifted away, the echo continued to linger in the air.

"Wow~ that's amazing!" "The young man plays beautifully!" The surrounding pedestrians burst into unanimous applause. Only then did I raise my head to see that the space was packed dense with people.

"Hubby's performance just now was so fascinating! I've never witnessed anything like it, even in the Demon Realm~" Enis smiled, stepping forward to praise me. I sheepishly left the piano and pushed through the crowd. "It's been a long time since I played; luckily I still remembered it."

"It was truly wonderful, Hubby! You have to play another piece when we get home. This concubine wants to hear you play every single day~" Suōshā smiled and gave me a light kiss.

"Although Planet Guangyue has music, it completely lacks emotion compared to what Hubby just performed. I had no idea Hubby possessed such exquisite musical talent, it's absolutely shocking to me~" Zi Mi was also full of nonstop praise, leaving me quite embarrassed by their compliments.

An Unexpected Commotion

"Alright, let's head to the seaside next to look at the scenery," I said, changing the subject. "Sure, we'll follow Hubby's lead~" Enis nodded cheerfully, and we began walking out of the mall.

"Ah~ dangerous!" Suddenly, a shout rang out from not far away. Everyone looked toward the sound, only to see a troublesome kid who had climbed onto the exterior handrail of the escalator and been carried up into mid-air, looking like he was about to lose his grip. "Ah~~!" Amidst the screams of the crowd, the little boy finally lost his strength and plummeted from the edge of the handrail.

Making a split-second decision, I teleported over, catching the little boy in an instant.

"What's up with that guy? He seems to be floating in mid-air!" "Who on earth is he, is this a superpower?" The crowd began to riot. Oh no. I was hovering in mid-air holding the little boy, and in this scene under the watchful eyes of the public, it was going to be difficult to wrap things up. The kid in my arms was wailing at the top of his lungs, so I had no choice but to slowly descend back to the first floor.

The surrounding crowd swarmed us, continuously snapping pictures with their smartphones. In that split second, I froze the time-field of the entire Earth. Everyone around us stood dead still like wooden puppets. Enis and the others flew over to my side. "It seems we have no choice but to erase everyone's memories~" Suōshā suggested.

"Yeah, otherwise it will cause unnecessary trouble." With that, I wiped the memories of every single person inside the mall and used divine law to erase all the information on their phones, clearing out the mall's surveillance footage at the same time. "We'll undo the time freeze after we leave." Leading the three women, I quietly slipped away.
