Tempted by Wendy's offhand suggestion, the couple sat down and contemplated for a very long time until they finally gritted their teeth, steeled their hearts and became determined to use other ways to get their hands on a child.
Surrogate wasn't exactly legal in their country and even if it was, they didn't have the money for that. They had exhausted their savings going to hospitals and the like in order to conceive. Other tricks would be needed.
