Chapter 20 - Anantashesha’s Prey Shifts to Fuli, the Star God

Another facet of a supreme existence?

Supreme?

The moment these words surfaced, gasps erupted across the infinite realms.

In The Outcast universe, Xu San and Xu Four froze in place.

In the Marvel universe, Nick Fury's coffee cup trembled in his grip.

In the Naruto world, Obito Uchiha's fanatical fervor was momentarily eclipsed by dread.

Even the ever-carefree Luffy from One Piece sensed the gravity of the situation.

All spectators held their breaths, eyes locked onto the luminous screen, afraid to miss even a single frame.

Within the screen, SCP-3000's feeding continued—

Until, without warning, a dazzling light erupted from the depths behind Aquaman.

The crowd turned as one.

What they saw was a resplendent, crystalline Yaotai—a platform of pristine purity—upon which bloomed a translucent lotus. Seated at its center was Fuli, meditating like an eternal observer of the cosmos, silently witnessing the ceaseless repetition of mortal folly.

He was a Star God.

A fragment of the Imaginary.

A metaphysical coalescence of spirit.

The surrounding darkness seemed to bend into His shadow, while streams of light—carving memory itself—radiated outward from the Yaotai.

Where the light touched the murky seawater, clarity was restored.

Where it grazed the fish, the schools swam upstream.

And when it swept over Aquaman—whose very existence had begun to dissolve—a miracle unfolded.

"Huh? Cough— W-what's happening to me?"

Aquaman, who had long lost the capacity for thought, regained his rationality in an instant.

"What's going on?"

"Bzzt— Dive team, be advised. We suspect you're under cognitive hazard exposure."

"Cognitive hazard? The giant eel?" Aquaman's eyes widened.

He remembered.

His memories had returned!

But with them came vertigo and searing pain.

The chatroom exploded.

"WTF?! That's… the power of a Star God?"

"God Almighty, He actually saved him! Divine indeed!"

"But how is that eel so broken? Just being near it, just looking at it, erases memories and cripples thought!"

"I was a fool to think this mission would be easy!"

"Hell, I glanced at Fuli just now and felt like I'd been pierced by a gaze spanning galactic lightyears—"

Amid the shock, a collective sigh of relief spread.

Yet—

Unlike the audience's optimism, in the Honkai: Star Rail universe, Herta's face darkened as if carved from stormclouds.

Let it be known: in her cosmos, Star Gods were not universally benevolent. Countless travelers and Trailblazers, while resolving Stellaron crises, had also clashed with Star Gods whose footsteps crushed civilizations.

Thus, in her initial assessment, Fuli—though selected—would never obey the SCP Foundation like other recruits.

The reason was simple:

Fuli was a Star God, a deity.

Deities might answer prayers, but they would never serve mortals.

How could a god bow to an organization's will?

Even if that organization was the SCP Foundation!

But when Fuli descended into the depths with Aquaman, Herta realized her mistake.

Something had changed.

For the first time, her worldview cracked.

Why?

Why would a Star God—an entity that rewrote reality and erased stars—deign to heed these mortals' call?

Then she saw SCP-3000. Saw Anantashesha's law-defying power: Oblivion.

The answer crystallized.

Here stood a being rivaling a god.

And only a god could challenge another god.

Now, a seed of doubt took root in her mind:

Can Fuli the Star God truly defeat SCP-3000?

Screenplay continues:

The weakened Aquaman scanned his surroundings—

This time, he finally saw SCP-3000's true form.

Slimy, pallid skin.

A body both slender and colossal.

Eel, sea serpent, python…

A convergence of contradictions.

"This thing… no natural universe could spawn it. By Poseidon, what do I do?"

"Right. I—I need samples. Wait—"

His voice spiked: "There's liquid oozing from its scalp, about a meter long. Just looking at it makes me… dizzy. I feel sick—"

The familiar fog surged again.

Aquaman's soul stretched thin, his thoughts petrified, memories dissolving…

Instinct made him activate the sampler. His speech slurred:

"No, no no no—"

"It's like the apocalypse is right there, folks. My heart's gonna burst. I'm dying. Just—"

A quiet laugh escaped him.

"So dark."

Fuli felt no emotion. No thought.

He simply pulsed upon the Yaotai, light flaring like a heartbeat, pumping forth the memories He had engraved.

Once more, His radiance enveloped Aquaman—

But this time, the fragmented memories could not be reignited.

Meanwhile, SCP-3000 stirred.

The chaos stirred.

The darkness contracted.

And now—

Anantashesha's prey had shifted.

Its target was no longer Aquaman.

But Fuli, the Star God.
