Chapter 19 - Aquaman vs. Anantashesha - Our End Shall Be Oblivion

The chat group erupted in chaos.

"WTF? What's happening? Something feels off about him."

"He was fine just now—didn't even get hit by anything!"

"Is this SCP-3000's doing?"

"But they haven't even seen it yet?!"

DC Universe – Justice League

"Something's wrong."

"Since when does Aquaman have memory problems?"

The League immediately noticed his abnormal behavior.

It was impossible not to connect this to SCP-3000's profile:

"Direct observation or proximity induces migraines, delirium, terror, and memory loss/distortion."

No one had expected—

While everyone was fixated on SCP-3000's colossal size—

This overlooked detail was its true horror.

The earlier optimism vanished instantly.

A sense of dread crept in.

Honkai: Star Rail Universe – Herta Space Station

"Affected just by entering the water, without even encountering it?"

Herta frowned. "This resembles a domain effect..."

But Aeons were no ordinary beings.

They existed on a higher plane.

And Fuli had another title—

The Aeon of Remembrance.

With that thought, Herta's unease lightly eased.

"As long as Fuli intervenes, it should be fine... right?"

The Abyss Gazes Back

The dark depths had become a swirling black fog, hungry and predatory.

Everyone knew—

SCP-3000 lurked below.

Aquaman's movements were no longer fluid or confident.

He moved mechanically, pausing at intervals, his mind fragmenting.

Something was eroding his thoughts, stealing memories he couldn't recall losing.

"I..."

"Continue descent."

"This place..."

"Continue descent."

"S-sorry..."

"Descend."

"..."

Then—

"Huh? I see it!"

The multiverse held its breath.

But no matter how hard they looked, SCP-3000 remained invisible.

"What do you see?" The voice in his earpiece stayed calm.

"I see..." Aquaman's eyes were void of light.

"Only... darkness. A frigid, evil wind pushes me toward an unseen cliff—"

His voice grew distant, hollow.

His expression twisted in agony.

"—At the edge of oblivion, annihilation looms. There's... a sickness in my heart, incurable. Above me, only darkness... and dark eyes—"

"What are you saying?"

Even the doctor's voice grew tense.

"—Silence. Just silence. My mind unravels. Only... only—" Static.

Then—

A panicked shout from the earpiece:

"Doctor! Radar detects entity movement!"

The chat exploded.

"SCP-3000 isn't supposed to move much!"

"What the hell is happening?!"

Suddenly—

The water trembled violently.

Currents clashed, tossing Aquaman like driftwood.

His eerie state choked the audience with dread.

Hum...

A sinister vibration surged from the abyss.

Like hell's whisper, it froze the blood.

Then—

SCP-3000 appeared.

Not the sky-blotting monstrosity they expected.

Its body was too vast, coiled into a knot of chaos, a tangled world.

A higher-dimensional construct.

And now—

This primordial entity

Had come to feed.

Aquaman floated mindlessly, the three samples long lost.

Now,

They became SCP-3000's meal.

Glug... glug...

Bubbles rose as the abyss swallowed all light.

No sun reached here.

Only the churning tides signaled—

Anantashesha was hunting.

Ding!

The sample's sensor.

Marking its consumption.

Ding!

Ding...

Three chimes.

The audience's hearts clenched.

Was Aquaman next?

But on-screen, he wasn't just unable to flee—

He had forgotten how to think.

Then—

A voice echoed in every mind, as if from Aquaman's fading consciousness:

"It has something... a hidden part of its nature that rejects comprehension..."

"It dismantles human thought, shreds what we call the soul, leaving only our true essence—electrical signals destined to vanish."

"If even I forget myself, how can others remember me?"

"I fade into the dark, as millions did before me, as millions will after. My life will be forgotten. I feel no despair..."

"I am insignificant. You are insignificant. Countless drops in time's endless ocean."

"We fight it, but our enemy is invincible."

"It is not Anantashesha. It is not the herald of death, nor mankind's end."

"It is the other face of something supreme."

"Oblivion."
