Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: The Witch Sisters’ Final Warning

"You used that Grimoire to warp the space around you and survive my attack," Kojou said nonchalantly, staring at the two women who clung to each other in midair and glared at him with angry expressions. "Not bad — but in doing so you've revealed that the power of that Grimoire is what's causing the large-scale spatial distortion affecting all of Itogami Island."

The first was a woman in jet black. She wore a wired-brimmed, triangular hat and a black mantle over her shoulders, and a black leather bondage rider suit; in a way the air around her felt more erotic than if she had been completely naked — her whole appearance could only be described as that of a witch. She had yellow eyes and black hair.

The other was dressed in scarlet. Her outfit was extremely revealing, the sort of clothes that would make one think she was a dancer from some foreign land — sensational garter stockings beneath a sorceress's robe and a long hood, all dyed the color of blood. By her looks she seemed about twenty; from the back she might be mistaken for a priestess, yet her clothes could also make one call her a harlot. She had violet eyes and black hair.

"Hmm, this unique and provocative look..." Kojou murmured, his gaze deep as he stared at the two women. "Could you be the Meyer Sisters?"

They exchanged a sharp glance before slowly lowering themselves to Kojou's eye level, still holding onto each other as if his presence posed a real threat — or perhaps it was simply an instinctive caution toward the Fourth Primogenitor.

Their faces stiffened for a moment, then the woman in the crimson robe — Emma — curved her lips into a light, dangerous smile.

"We didn't think you'd recognize us so quickly... Fourth Primogenitor."

Her voice was soft and bewitching, but underneath it lurked absolute mercilessness.

The other, the one with golden eyes, leaned forward slightly; suspicion glittered in her gaze.

"It's amazing that you know our names just by looking at us... that hardly seems like coincidence."

Kojou shrugged indifferently.

"It's not very hard — after all, you are beautiful women, and powerful spirit mediums to boot."

"I see. So the Fourth Primogenitor has placed us among his Blood Servant candidates," Emma smiled; she was the older, more rational sister.

Octavia, the younger one, trembled with anger; her violet eyes stared at Kojou fiercely, it was obvious he coveted her and her dear older sister.

"That's a thing of the past, I already have many Blood Servants," Kojou shrugged without concern. "By the way, will you hand over that Grimoire yourselves, or must I take it by force?"

Octavia's jaw clenched violently and she ground her teeth.

"You speak as if that book were yours in the first place...!"

She thrust out a hand as if about to unleash an offensive spell, but Emma lifted an arm to stop her, looking at Kojou with a half-smile devoid of fear.

"It's rare to see the Fourth Primogenitor interested in a grimoire instead of a new Servant..."

She leaned forward slowly, keeping her beguiling smile.

"But unfortunately... this Grimoire is not something we can negotiate over."

The air around them suddenly chilled, turning into a faint frost like a silent warning.

Kojou muttered, provocatively calm, "You can't? Or you won't?"

Octavia's eyes widened with rage.

"None of your business!"

The motion of the air halted for a moment, then Kojou spoke in a heavy, cold tone.

"If this book is the source of the spatial corruption tearing at the island's boundaries... then it becomes my business entirely."

Emma lightly placed a hand on her chest and tilted her head.

"...And if we refuse?"

Kojou answered without hesitation, as if the outcome were already decided.

"Then there will be no Grimoire left for you to cling to."

Emma's smile froze for a single instant — a brief moment but enough to show she understood the meaning behind his words:

This was not an ordinary threat.

It was an existential promise.

Octavia screamed as she pulled free from her sister's arm.

"How dare you!! Do you think you can just—"

But before she could finish, she felt the magical field surrounding her body being ripped away by an invisible force, as if the air itself had become a blade cutting the mana from its source.

Her body convulsed and she gasped, "You...!"

Emma took a small step back, narrowing her eyes with a seriousness never seen before.

"...This is not merely familiar power or a Vampire Aura."

Kojou raised his eyes to her; his voice carried the weight due a king of blood.

"I told you before — I do not like anyone tampering with the island I live on."

Behind him a shadow of a fiery bull appeared, radiating terrifying pressure. It was none other than his 2nd Familiar: Cor Tauri-Sucinum.

An ox-headed god of amber whose body was composed of lava. It stood over ten meters tall and carried a gigantic battleaxe. It could control fire and earth to create volcanic flows, and its physical strength was immense, able to assault enemies with brutal force.

At the sight of that gigantic shadow, the Meyer Sisters' hair stood on end and cold sweat poured down their backs.

As expected, mere witches could not stand against the might of the Fourth Primogenitor.

No matter how powerful they were, they were nothing before the strongest vampire in the world.

"I'll give you one last chance..." Kojou said coldly, the oppressive pressure crushing down on them. "Will you hand over the Grimoire and surrender to me, or shall I kill you here and destroy the Grimoire? Choose."
