"Definitely Kelpie's," Boo whispered beside him, his ghostly tail flicking like an excited cat.
Drake groaned softly, slumping over his desk. "Of course it is… He's gonna take all the good snacks! He always goes for the fancy ones!"
Vlad Jr., who was elegantly sipping his strawberry juice, smirked. "Perhaps you should have studied harder instead of burning the window frame, Drake."
Drake glared at him. "I didn't burn it! It was just a tiny spark! And teacher was picking the books in order—whoever placed theirs last got picked first!"
"Tiny enough to make the teacher look out the window," Boo said cheekily, ignoring the rest.
"Shh!" Drake hissed, flapping his wings nervously as Alina flipped open Kelpie's notebook.
The cover alone made her smile—it was carefully decorated with bits of sea-green glitter and messy but adorable handwriting. "Alright," Alina said warmly, "let's see what Kelpie has written today."
