Last Chapter Recap: "My goal from the start," Adam said, grinning, "was to enact revenge on Captain and the crew by turning you all in to my slaves."

"What? Slaves?" Heidi asked, her eyes narrowing. "But to enslave a person—"
"You mentioned my father," Adam said, his tone darkening. "Using his research, I've recreated his brainwashing machine, that can turn even the most difficult woman into obedient sex slave."
"You...!!!" Heidi shouted, enraged. "Then Ivanna—"
"Yes," Adam said, a twisted satisfaction in his voice. "Doctor Ivanna has underwent days-long brainwashing, and now, she is my sexy, obedient slave!!!"
Overwhelmed with her anger, commander thrashes the terminal with her bare hands… there's fury in her. But still look at her, so beautiful! Mmm… I might have overdone it.
"Continue," Heidi ordered, her voice tight with fury, barely holding back her disgust.
One has to admire her quick recovery though. As expected of second-in-command of Goliath.
"I've already told you what I know, Commander," Adam said, his tone calm and unapologetic.
"Don't play dumb!" Heidi snapped. "That machine! Where is it?!"
"Very near this block, in Section 13," Adam said, his voice calm but laced with warning. "However, the entrance is set up so that any intruder would be shot upon entry."
"You bastard..." Heidi said, her voice trembling with fury.
"If you let me, I'd gladly explain to you its mechanism on the specimen," Adam said with a sly smile. "Since I'm about to die, I at least want to have the knowledge of the Kingdom of Black preserved!"
"You..." Heidi said, her voice filled with disbelief and fury.
Enen if I'm under the effects of the truth serum, commander seems to doubt my words…
"...Captain..." Heidi called into the walkie-talkie, her voice sharp and tense.
Of course, before she makes any decision, she first has to consult with the captain… figures.
While she talks, covering her mouth as if I could read from her lips, I can't help but grin viciously. She doesn't know that I can hear with the help of Ava.
It's given that I contemplated such scenario ever since I boarded Goliath. This was a game of cat and mouse between me and captain… a game I still intend to win!!
"Stand up," Heidi said, pointing the gun at me after finishing her conversation with the captain.
The moment the gravity field around me shuts down, I can tell. Victory is mine!!
"Oh?" Adam asked with a sly smile. "Did the captain give you her permission to act alone, Commander?"
"Shut up and start walking!" Heidi ordered, still pointing her gun at him.
Commander waves her gun around, barely containing her desire to shoot me immediately. Soon, you… soon, princess… soon, captain… soon… soon… soon!!!
Entrance of Secret Room
"It's here," Adam said with a smirk, his tone mocking yet confident.
"Right under our very eyes..." Heidi said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "How embarrassing!!"
Seeing how close my secret room was to her living quarters, Heidi can't help but gasp.
"Of course, I selected this place based on deep research," Adam said, his smirk widening. "Surveillance here is..."
"Shut up and open the door!" Heidi ordered, her voice harsh and commanding.
Since commander isn't interested in hearing my musings, I shrug and move towards the door's console to enter the opening code.
All doors on Goliath are opened by simple 5-digit code. However, to fool commander, I pretend to enter a long 'elaborate' code, as if dismantling some kind of defence.
"Done," Adam said, his voice calm. "The doors are safe now."
"Tsk," Heidi said, her voice sharp. "Stand away."
Not willing to believe my words, commander makes a quick survey of the doors, checking for booby traps and other nasty surprises. Of course, there are none.
"Truth serum," Adam said mockingly. "Wonderful thing, isn't it?"
"I told you to shut up!" Heidi said, her voice rising with frustration.
Rattled by my words, commander finishes her check and opens the door…!!
One shot.
"Ugh...!" Heidi muttered, a sudden pain shooting through her neck from the dart.
"Ha... Hahahahahaha!" Adam laughed, his voice dark with satisfaction.
I finally burst out my laughter, while the commander wobbles away, unable to control her body.
"Tu-rret..." Heidi muttered, her words slurring as the dart's effects took hold.
Aurora's turret, my one of trump card, stands almost menacingly, its sensors pointed on miss Heidi.
"You... bastard..." Heidi said, her voice weak but filled with seething anger.
"Ha ha," Adam asked, his voice mocking. "Did you seriously think I'd give up just like that, you dumb bitch?!"
With every second, commander's body grows mores stiff. One shot from a paralyzing dart is enough to eliminate a grown man for a few hours… she'd done for!!
