Chapter 590 - Chapter 590: Cultivating the Origin of God, Creating a God!

Chapter 590: Cultivating the Origin of God, Creating a God!

"Then tell me how we're supposed to work together."

Ryuunosuke did not ask any more questions. His curiosity had already shifted.

Right now, what interested him was not Vegapunk's past. It was what would happen next.

If anything, Ryuunosuke felt Vegapunk's secrets were no less valuable than Laugh Tale itself.

And there was an extremely high chance Vegapunk knew something about Lilith, Adam, and what people dared to call God.

"I need to perfect Nirvash," Vegapunk said without hesitation.

"You've already seen Nirvash's power."

"Nirvash already has the necessary elements to become a god."

"Next, all that's left is replenishing strength."

"And you have that kind of power."

As he spoke, Vegapunk's gaze sharpened.

"I brought the entire origin with me."

"For years, everyone has believed I was simply researching modified warriors for combat."

"But what I've truly been doing is using Lilith and Adam's divine genes, and using the bloodline factor's ability to resonate under specific conditions."

"I have always been here cultivating the genes of God."

"Cultivating… the genes of a god?"

Even Ryuunosuke was caught off guard.

This man was insane.

If that was true, then the strange substance inside those Aragami bodies was not some random mutation.

It was the genes of gods.

"Right," Vegapunk said. "Exactly."

He took out a test tube.

Inside, a blood red spiral floated, twisting slowly, while tiny specks of white light circled around it, constantly trying to merge with the red spiral at the center.

Another layer of special liquid filled the tube.

When the white specks finally fused with the blood red spiral, a faint golden substance formed and sank to the bottom.

That golden substance was the man made god gene.

And that was the part that felt the most absurd.

A god's gene.

How could a single person create and cultivate something like that?

Even if it could be cultivated, it was not something humans should be able to control.

If it was called a god, there had to be a reason.

"The gene of God…" Ryuunosuke narrowed his eyes. "Do you have any finished products?"

"I do," Vegapunk replied plainly.

Then he took out another test tube.

Inside was a small stone.

It looked no different from something you could pick up off the side of a road.

Yet even through the tube, Ryuunosuke could sense the power sealed inside it.

"This," Ryuunosuke said, extending his hand, "you can give it to me, right?"

"I don't think you're short on these, Mr. Vegapunk."

"Of course," Vegapunk answered. "Once I took it out, I never planned to take it back."

He handed the tube over.

Crack.

Ryuunosuke crushed the test tube in one swift motion.

The stone fell into his palm.

"Captain Ryuunosuke, what are you doing…" Vegapunk began, but Ryuunosuke lifted a hand to stop him.

Then streams of energy rose from Ryuunosuke's body.

He simply raised the stone.

Vegapunk's eyes widened.

"So it's true."

"These things are really in your hands."

"And there's more than one."

Vegapunk stared at the energy radiating from Ryuunosuke's hand, his shock unmistakable.

In truth, Vegapunk had been searching for this Heart of Eternity for a very long time.

Infinity Stones had been found.

More than once.

But there had never been any news of the Heart of Eternity.

As for Ryuunosuke, he truly lived up to his reputation as the lucky one chosen by that cheat system.

Without even realizing it, he had already collected five.

Vegapunk only understood one thing.

Ryuunosuke had more than one.

He did not know it was five.

If he did, he probably would not be speaking so calmly right now.

"They call this the Mother Stone of the Infinity Stones," Ryuunosuke said, eyes gleaming with interest.

"So why do you call it the Heart of Eternity, Mr. Vegapunk?"

Others had known about it before.

Carmel.

Roy.

Yet they all called it the Mother Stone of Infinity.

Either they did not know the true name, or they had deliberately hidden it.

But Vegapunk could no longer pretend.

He had already said the name out loud.

"The Heart of Eternity is its true name," Vegapunk said.

"God equals Eternity."

"This thing is the best vessel for the gods."

"However, now that I have Nirvash, I no longer need the Heart of Eternity."

He looked straight at Ryuunosuke.

"Now that you possess the Heart of Eternity, you can confirm the divine genes I cultivated, right?"

At the same time, Ryuunosuke felt the resonance.

A cold mechanical voice rang out inside him.

Ding. Congratulations, host. You have fused with 20 percent of the divine essence.

Twenty percent.

Ryuunosuke's heart jumped.

He had killed so many Aragami before and only extracted ten percent of divine essence.

Yet a stone Vegapunk casually handed over contained twenty percent.

His mission was almost halfway complete.

Of course, Ryuunosuke understood something else too.

Getting this kind of thing from Vegapunk again would be extremely difficult.

So while the resonance surged, he quietly left a thread of energy inside the stone.

Later, he would hand that remaining trace to Gaji and the others and see if they could figure anything out.

"It is indeed the gene of God," Ryuunosuke said, withdrawing his power.

"Now tell me."

"What do you need me to do next?"

"I will make Nirvash evolve again," Vegapunk said, going straight to the point.

"And Captain Ryuunosuke, all you need to do is attack it."

Nirvash was already considered a demigod.

With enough energy, it could cross the boundary into the realm of gods.

At that point, it would truly be complete.

And only then would Vegapunk have something that could stand before that being.

"Captain Ryuunosuke," a familiar voice said suddenly, "I think you were already wondering about this, weren't you?"

"And you know Vegapunk doesn't care about cooperation or friendship when his goal is involved."

Ryuunosuke's eyes narrowed.

That voice…

Roger?

It felt strange.

This entire place was currently wrapped in an A T force field.

Even if Roger was unbelievably strong, he should not have been able to arrive without making a sound.

"Don't look so shocked," Roger said, stepping into view.

"The energy inside my body and the energy inside Vegapunk's body come from the same source."

"Locating him and coming here is simple."

Then Roger's gaze shifted to Vegapunk.

"Vegapunk, you've gone too far."

"Shouldn't you stop now?"

As he spoke, more figures appeared, one after another.

The Guardian team.

They arrived almost at the same time.

Even Roy and Rory were here.

It was obvious they were deeply worried about what Vegapunk intended to do next.

Otherwise, they would not be taking it this seriously.

"So you came to fight?" Ryuunosuke said, and a grin spread across his face.

He had just been thinking about where to get more divine essence.

Now these divine origins had delivered themselves to his doorstep.

In an instant, the surrounding A T force field thickened again.

It grew heavier, denser, and began spreading toward the nearby islands.

Both the Navy and the Dragon Hunter Pirates retreated quickly, doing their best to stay within a safe zone.

"Captain Ryuunosuke," Roy said as he stepped forward, eyes sharp and sly, "you're a little too confident."

"You actually left your women alone on the shore."

"And you're underestimating our Guardian team far too much."

The moment Roy finished, Ryuunosuke's senses expanded behind him.

Akame and Kuina were there.

And behind them stood Keshia, Brook, and Sevin.

They had not made a move yet.

But Ryuunosuke understood Roy's meaning immediately.

Could it be that…
