Bonnie who swore her boyfriend could recognize her even if she turned to ashes stared in disbelief at the man's retreating back.

Ahead, Derek glanced down at his watch, his handsome brows furrowing slightly. "Bonnie said she'd come pick me up. Why don't I see her anywhere?"
His assistant scanned the crowd, his gaze briefly pausing on the mascot before quickly moving on. "Maybe she's outside, Mr. Lee. Should we wait there?"
Derek nodded slightly and started walking toward the exit.
Bonnie stood frozen in place.
The staff member filming whispered to comfort her, "Maybe… maybe he just didn't notice. The airport's crowded. Mr. Lee probably couldn't sense your presence."
Bonnie: "…"
She lowered her head, silently trailing behind him with tiny steps, the very picture of a heartbroken little mascot.
Outside, Derek still didn't see her. He took out his phone and called, but no one answered.
He frowned as the call disconnected automatically. What was going on?
