"Hey, little one. Don't you think you should apologize to me?" Jeanette was infuriated. She raised her hand, as if ready to smack Kayla. "Are you going to apologize or not? I won't hesitate to hit you."
Kayla pouted and looked at Kayden. She said pitifully, "Kayden, this horrible woman wants to hit me."
Kayden shifted his gaze at Jeanette and stared at her coldly. "You want to hit her?"
This cold gaze reminded Jeanette of Leo, and it immediately gave her a chill down her spine.
"I- I'm not going to waste my time and bicker with you kids," she stuttered.
Jeanette then simply pulled out a chair and sat down. She reached out for a pair of chopsticks and took a bite of her dish.
"Urgh!" She spat. "What is this? Why is it spicy and bitter yet sour at the same time?" she asked loudly, her face disgusted.
Kayla covered her mouth trying to hide her laughter, winking at Kayden.
"That's a good one, Kayden!" she whispered.
