Zoey smiled as she flicked Leo's forehead. "Mr. Yancey, you're my husband. Who else should I protect if not you?"
Leo had been protecting and loving her all this while. As his wife, she had to do something. If that was not the case, she didn't deserve his love.
"Leo, you're the most important person in my heart. Even the children come after you." She interlocked her fingers with his. "Those that are important to me cannot be with me forever, but you're the only one who will be with me for the rest of my life. I wouldn't allow someone to bully you, even if you don't think that it was a big deal for you."
Leo felt touched by her words.
He had never imagined that he would be of such importance in her heart.
"Darling..."
Hugging Zoey tightly, he felt his throat tighten as he was speechless.
Zoey hugged him back.
