By the time Taigi reached the palace, Kaiden had covered the air above his throne with monsters.
Their projected formations stretched past the dais. Monoliths stood shoulder to shoulder beneath hunting flights of Gorefiends, with Quakelords and Basalt Gunners filling the ground behind them. Every time he added another group, the interface pulled back to make room.
Luna leaned against his chair, watching the available balance fall.
"You're really going to spend all of it?"
"Yes."
"Fucking finally."
Aria smiled beside him. She had claimed the other armrest, her fingers resting against his neck while she studied the creatures in his purchase queue.
Kaiden enlarged the Skyfiend formation above the dais.
"More of the carriers, Kai. They'll need to move people too."
"That's what I was thinking."
