"Aria Levander," she breathed.
Claire forgot the filth running down her window.
Aria's eyes shone with moonlight. Silver radiance flowed through the hair lifting around her face and gathered beneath her feet, holding her above the harbor with the dark hem of her dress drifting in the wind.
She was breathtaking. The pale light illuminated every delicate feature, lending her a beauty so otherworldly that Claire leaned toward the window, trying to reconcile the woman before her with the docks and ships below.
"That's Aria Levander," the studio anchor said. "She... Good Lord."
Aria glanced at their helicopter with cool indifference, then turned her attention to the creatures crowding it. The hunter beside Claire's window stopped examining the rotor.
