Looking at the pale person leaning on him, Jose Floyd almost fell off the rubber dinghy into the floodwaters.
The armed police reacted quickly, grabbing hold of him, "Be careful! Why is your body so hot? This is a high fever! Do you not want to live? If you don't find the person, you might even end up losing yourself!"
Jose Floyd didn't respond to the officer, but anxiously urged, "Row over! That's my wife!"
"What a coincidence?" The officer was shocked and immediately rowed the dinghy over.
As the dinghy approached, Jose Floyd almost without hesitation jumped off the dinghy and headed towards the person by the wooden post at the door.
In front of the store, submerged by floodwaters, there were steps that were not visible. Jose Floyd's eyes were entirely focused on the person leaning on the wooden post. He tripped but luckily didn't fall into the flood due to the life jacket.
Having steady his footing, Jose Floyd walked up the steps, the water covering his waist and above.
