It took a full two hours from the airport to the ancestral home of the Stephens family.
After entering the manor, it took another half an hour before reaching Lady Stephens' residence.
It was a snow-white cottage.
Ryan Smith opened the car door, jumped out, and shouted towards the cottage as if he knew it well: "Auntie, I brought Daisy Ginger over!"
Soon, a slender figure emerged from the vermilion gate. Daisy looked up and saw Lady Stephens, whom she hadn't seen in four years.
In the winter, Lady Stephens, petite, was draped in a snow-white fur. Her meticulously maintained face showed hardly any traces of time and was still as delicate and lovely as Daisy remembered.
Daisy's expression slightly dimmed. Even though she had forgiven Edward Stephens, she couldn't forgive the woman she once trusted and relied on so much.
