Daisy Ginger looked at the man's eyes glowing with gentle light in the darkness.
Lowering her head, she kissed his thin lips and softly asked, "What did he do to you?"
She vaguely recalled Ryan Smith telling her once that he had betrayed Edward Stephens, but since she wasn't familiar with him, she didn't delve into it.
Thinking back now, she had a vague feeling that there must have been a significant issue between them back then.
In front of Edward Stephens, Ryan Smith always seemed to carry a sense of guilt.
"When you were kidnapped by my brother, it was Ryan who drugged me." Edward sighed lightly, "Otherwise, I wouldn't have been delayed for so many days before arriving..."
Daisy was slightly startled, a hint of shock appearing in her dark eyes.
She hadn't expected that so much had happened during a kidnapping so long ago.
