Iris Harris closed her eyes, leaned back in her seat, and sighed wearily.
"Emma, are you feeling unwell?"
"It's nothing..." Iris opened her eyes, shook her head, and gave a slight smile to Oliver Lee, "I'm just tired. I'll take a nap first, call me when we get home."
"Alright."
Oliver Lee gently held her, letting her lean comfortably into his embrace.
The woman in his arms was slender and petite, her fair face marked by deep fatigue.
A tinge of heartache flashed across Oliver Lee's face as he gently caressed her delicate cheek, his mind recalling the look Brandan Hyde had given him when passing by.
That gaze, as venomous as if soaked in poison, nearly enough to kill him on the spot.
