Iris Harris awoke to the sound of intermittent sobbing by her ear.
The noise gave her a headache, and she struggled to open her eyes, only to see Mother Rulin sitting opposite her bed, dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief.
"Mother Rulin..."
She called out weakly.
Hearing the sound, Mother Rulin quickly stood up, her eyes reddened with joy as she saw Iris open her eyes, "Miss Harris, you're awake!"
Iris's face was extremely pale. Seeing her in this state, Mother Rulin couldn't hold back her tears, which then flowed again in torrents, "Why are you so foolish, Miss Harris! Why can't you just talk things through instead of doing something like this? What would Mr. Hyde do if you died... Boo hoo hoo..."
Iris licked her dry lips and asked softly, "How long have I been asleep?"
