"Miss Harris," Coco Lester said again, "you're still young. As the saying goes, 'Where there's life, there's hope.' Maybe it wouldn't hurt to agree to Henry Ford's request. As long as you're alive, anything is possible, right?"
A hint of mist lingered in Iris Harris's eyes for a long while before she sighed softly and said in a low voice, "Except for that person, I can't be with any other man." She brushed the stray hair from her cheek to the back of her head, revealing a delicate and beautiful face, and smiled at Coco Lester. "But thank you for telling me this. Mr. Lester, you're gentler than I imagined."
"..." Coco Lester glanced at her in silence and said flatly, "You're the first woman to say I'm gentle."
Iris Harris smiled slightly. "Then what do they say about you?"
"Poker face, emotionless man."
Iris Harris laughed out loud with a "pfft."
Glancing at the stern handsome face in front of her, she nodded. "They're not wrong either..."
