Ever since Sebastian reached a partnership with the Ancient One and learned he would have access to the Time Stone, he had already put his research on the Time Turner on his agenda.
However, his initial research into the Time Turner was not that in-depth. In his previous life, magic was gradually declining. While powerful magicians abounded in ancient times, truly powerful magicians were few and far between in modern times. Most wizards in the magical world were only half-baked, only able to cast a few spells, let alone something like the Time Turner.
Therefore, while Sebastian had an interest and did research it for a while in his previous life, it was only superficial, forming a general idea. Therefore, the so-called Time Turner experiment Sebastian was preparing to conduct now, while the name was the same, was actually quite different.
Simply put, seventy to eighty percent of Sebastian's research into the Time Turner was his own design and creation. He wanted to create a magical device that could draw on the power of the Time Stone and assist Sebastian in performing time-related magic.
Armed with the Reality Stone's ability to alter reality, Sebastian primarily used vibranium and mithril, along with various other materials, to craft the various components of the new Time Turner. All he had to do was carefully assemble these components, connect them to the incredibly complex magical circuits, and illuminate the runes and ancient magic runes. Then, he could truly begin experimenting.
With a wave of his wand, one thousand three hundred thirty-eight components flew out of the storage bag and hovered around Sebastian.
The largest of these components, the outer shell, was roughly the size of a pocket watch. The rest, most of them as fine as grains of sand, were inscribed within these grains of sand by Sebastian's magical power, creating an intricate tapestry of magical circuits, runes, and magic runes. Any single component, if displayed, would be enough to evoke a sensation of exquisite craftsmanship.
There could not be any mistakes during assembly, as any errors could block or damage the magic circuits due to faulty connections. Therefore, Sebastian was extremely careful. With a uniquely rhythmic movement of his wand, over a thousand components were meticulously assembled, bit by bit, gradually forming the Time Turner he envisioned.
With a snap!
The last component, the final section of the outer shell, was assembled, and a silver pocket watch with a slender silver-white chain appeared before Sebastian.
This was the Time Turner Sebastian had designed. It resembled a pocket watch, complete with hands and a dial, but the markings on the dial were not those of an ordinary pocket watch. Instead, they were a series of dim, grayish-white runes with unknown meaning. Reaching out to take the pocket watch-like Time Turner in his hand, Sebastian carefully injected his magic power into it. Seeing the Time Turner functioning flawlessly, Sebastian knew that his design had not contained any fundamental errors. At least the magic circuits and various runes within it were flawless.
Next, he had to see if his own Time Turner could draw and store sufficient time energy from the Time Stone.
Even if successful, his Time Turner would not work forever, requiring constant replenishment of its Time Force. However, this was Sebastian's hidden weapon. If it could be used at a crucial moment, even just once, it would be enough. Taking a deep breath, Sebastian raised his wand and gently tapped the Time Stone at the heart of the Eye of Agamotto. He quickly chanted a complex, jarring incantation, while his wand-grip made a gradual, outward drawing motion.
Sebastian's wand pulled a thread of emerald green energy, like a silk thread, from the Time Stone.
His movements were slow, as if he were pulling on a heavy, fragile thread. He cautiously yet with all his might extracted the Time Force from the Time Stone.
Different Infinity Stones possessed distinct forms. Unlike the Reality Stone, which radiated energy, the Time Stone's energy was extremely concentrated and inward, making it extremely difficult to extract. With the Reality Stone, Sebastian could have easily separated a stream of the Reality Stone's power with a single thought or gesture.
Because of this, Malekith of the Dark Elves was able to transform the Reality Stone into ethereal particles, allowing him to control its power with ease and at will. Of course, controlling Infinity Stones like the Reality Stone and the Power Stone, which are externalized, was not easy. Those without the ability to touch them would only harm themselves and others.
The Time Stone, on the other hand, was different. Unless guided and manipulated with special tools, even an ordinary person could touch it without any change. Naturally, extracting its power was extremely difficult.
The wand guided the emerald green force of time, gradually approaching the Time Turner.
Finally, Sebastian used his wand to inject a portion of the force into the Time Turner, forming an energy bridge between the Time Stone and the Time Turner. The powerful force of time rapidly infused the Time Turner, causing the twelve dim, grayish-white runes on the Time Turner's dial to illuminate one after another, transforming into the same crisp green as the Time Stone.
When the last rune illuminated, Sebastian immediately shook his wand, severing the energy bridge. The Eye of Agamotto quickly closed and returned to normal. The light emanating from the Time Turner before Sebastian gradually faded, leaving only a faint fluorescent glow.
Reaching out to grasp the Time Turner, Sebastian closed the cover, sealing the energy within. Simultaneously, he gently tapped his wand against the Time Turner, immediately sensing its effects.
The twelve runes represented twelve uses, each with a different effect.
Time Pause, which could be used eight times.
Each time pause lasted ten seconds. During this time, beings with powers exceeding Sebastian's would not be completely frozen, but rather experience a state of deceleration, slowing both their physical and mental speeds. The greater the power, the less impact.
History Erasure, which could be used three times.
As the name suggested, it could erase the existence of a person, an event, or a substance in the past, making the present self unaffected by the related existence. This had to be related to the user, and the related thing had to be something that the user could actually erase personally.
