With this many people packed into the venue, it was bound to get chaotic. If even a minor accident happened, maintaining order would be a fantasy. Leo's team couldn't even intervene properly. As long as there wasn't a massive stampede, they'd be thanking their lucky stars.
Right now, the only one truly enjoying himself was Tyron.
Out of his entire world tour, this stop in Country D was by far the most enthusiastic.
"Unbelievable. I didn't expect Kaitō Kid to draw this much heat!"
"Good thing I didn't listen to Director Leo. I would've ended up hiding like a coward."
If Tyron had missed tonight's show, he would've regretted it for life. Not to mention, if the schedule really had been changed, the backlash would've been brutal.
Even though things were spinning out of control, Tyron was still riding high. That kind of energy was rare in past performances.
Fans on-site were just as fired up, cheering at the top of their lungs.
[Woo! Let's get loud, the stars are about to appear!]
[Can't wait to see who shows up first—Tyron or Kaitō Kid!]
[Oh my god! Can't believe Director Leo didn't delay the show. With this crowd, how's he supposed to catch Kaitō Kid?]
[Fuck! Even without this crowd, he wouldn't catch him. Let's go, brothers—hype it up!]
[Hahaha, hope Director Leo learns to accept reality with grace!]
As night fell, colorful neon lights lit up the stage. Thunderous music amped up the atmosphere.
Inside a command vehicle parked at the venue, Leo and Holmeska monitored everything.
Above them, a dozen reconnaissance drones buzzed through the air. On the ground, Botan Square was jammed with thousands of people.
And that didn't even include those who hadn't made it to the main area yet. In a situation like this, spotting Kaitō Kid was nearly impossible.
Their only real way to grasp the full picture was through the drone feeds.
"Damn it. Forget moving—this isn't even the right environment for action."
"Our people are stuck in the crowd. Some can't even turn around!"
They had expected things to be intense. But this level of chaos still exceeded all predictions.
"Tyron already has insane popularity. Now throw Kaitō Kid into the mix?"
Holmeska's expression was dark. "Director Leo, we can't move at all. And I doubt Kaitō Kid can either."
"My advice? Reinforce the outer perimeter. Keep him from even getting close to the stage."
Some people in the crowd weren't walking by choice—they were being pushed along by the human tide.
The scene had completely spiraled out of control. Even if they wanted to step in and restore order, it was too late for that now.
For the agents, this kind of setup was a nightmare. Holmeska's thinking was simple: if they couldn't act, then Kaitō Kid probably couldn't either. Even if he slipped into the crowd, pulling off any actual move would be just as hard.
Leo didn't hesitate. He nodded immediately and agreed with the plan.
He contacted BND HQ and the Enforcement Bureau to deploy more personnel around Botan Square.
"Let's hope we get something out of this."
After hanging up, Leo sighed in frustration.
The chaos had left him totally disheartened. Deep down, he was already preparing for failure.
Meanwhile, Zhang Yang stood on the rooftop of a high-rise overlooking the square, binoculars in hand.
The entire area was packed tight. Even people's heads were shoulder to shoulder.
"Man, these fans are crazy enthusiastic."
An hour earlier, Zhang Yang had already slipped away from the scene.
As the crowd grew larger, he made the smart call to leave early. Otherwise, just as Holmeska had guessed, it'd be impossible to pull off any move in such a tightly packed crowd. The conditions simply wouldn't allow it.
At 7:30 p.m., Tyron finally took the stage.
The energy on-site exploded. The crowd's cheering shook the air, with some fans practically shouting their voices hoarse—proof of just how hyped things were.
Following the plan, Tyron opened with two of his most iconic hits, using his one-of-a-kind voice to ignite the show.
Though the performance was a hit and the crowd was riding high, no one forgot about Kaitō Kid.
[Woooo~ where's Kaitō Kid? Tyron already finished two songs!]
[Main characters always show up last. We've got Tyron here, a bit more waiting won't hurt!]
[Oh my god! If Kaitō Kid shows up, the concert might get cut short. Honestly, I hope he shows up late!]
[Where's Director Leo? Did he give up on catching Kaitō Kid?]
[Hahaha, look at the sky—those drones must be theirs!]
Inside the command vehicle, Leo and Holmeska stared at the monitors, eyes locked on the live feeds.
They'd been glued to the screens for over thirty minutes and still hadn't found a single trace.
"There's no sign of him. Is it possible he's not coming?" Leo couldn't help but hope. Honestly, he didn't want Kaitō Kid to appear tonight at all.
With the crowd completely out of control, any move from Kaitō Kid could spark full-on chaos. What happened next would be completely unpredictable.
Even Holmeska, usually confident, hesitated under the pressure of the situation. "It's possible. There's barely any space for him to act in that crowd."
Just as he said that, a helicopter from the Enforcement Bureau flew in from the southeast side of the venue.
But the music was blasting so loudly that no one noticed the chopper at first.
Only when the gust from the rotors swept over the crowd did people finally look up—and spot a helicopter hovering overhead.
Once they saw the bold "Enforcement Bureau" label on the side, the crowd immediately got annoyed.
[What the hell? Why is the Enforcement Bureau flying a helicopter over our heads?]
[Shit! What kind of nonsense is this? Are they planning to hover here all night looking for Kaitō Kid?]
[Yo, anyone here got an RPG? Let's shoot that thing down—so damn annoying!]
[Aren't the drones enough? Now they bring out this massive chopper too?]
[Can't believe it—turns out the ones disrupting the concert aren't Kaitō Kid, but the Enforcement Bureau!]
Just as public frustration peaked, a figure in white leapt out of the chopper.
A rope unraveled from the cabin, and down came Rubio, dressed exactly like Kaitō Kid, slowly rappelling toward the stage.
Tyron spotted him from the stage, raised his hand to signal the music to stop, and fixed his eyes on the descending "Kaitō Kid."
Even with the crowd packed to the brim, the moment he dropped down, the fans instinctively cleared a large enough space beneath him.
[Oh my god! It's Kaitō Kid! He really showed up!]
[Wait… something's not right. He came in on an Enforcement Bureau helicopter?]
[I'd sooner believe cats and mice shaking hands than the D Bureau giving Kaitō Kid a ride to the show!]
[Nope, nope… something's way off. Fifteen levels of off!]
