Once Albion's training with Spellcode was finished, he returned to the training courtyard with his father.
King Albion was waiting for him.
Albion looked up at him.
"So, we're doing it again?"
King Albion nodded.
"Today, we're going to work on your Dragon Form."
Albion's eyes lit up.
"Really?"
"Yes. You've already unlocked your Hybrid Form. Now it's time to learn how to fully transform."
Albion took a deep breath.
He remembered what his father had taught him.
Don't force it.
Don't fight the transformation.
Let the Dragon inside him come forward.
Albion closed his eyes.
His mana began to rise.
Light surrounded his body.
His hands changed first.
His fingers became claws.
His arms grew longer.
White scales spread across his skin.
His legs shifted.
A tail emerged behind him.
Then came his wings.
They grew outward, becoming much larger than they were in his Hybrid Form.
Two horns appeared on his head.
His body continued changing until the light completely covered him.
For a moment, nobody could see Albion.
Then the light faded.
Silence.
King Albion stared.
Albion stood in his full Dragon Form.
He was a young white Dragon, with large wings, sharp claws, a long tail, and a body covered in soft white scales.
His eyes were bright blue.
He looked powerful.
He also looked...
Adorable.
A lot more adorable than Albion had expected.
King Albion stared at his son.
Albion looked down at himself.
He moved one claw.
Then another.
He looked behind himself at his tail.
He spread his wings.
"Whoa."
His voice sounded completely different.
Deeper.
But still clearly the voice of a child.
Albion looked up at his father.
"Dad?"
King Albion smiled.
"Yes."
"I did it!"
"You did."
Albion suddenly jumped into the air.
His wings spread.
He flew in a small circle around the courtyard before landing.
"I can fly!"
King Albion chuckled.
"You could already fly in your Hybrid Form."
"Yeah, but this feels different!"
Albion flapped his wings again.
A powerful gust swept across the courtyard.
Several girls watching from nearby were completely frozen.
Chame's eyes widened.
"..."
Tillroo's mouth slowly opened.
"..."
Housekee hugged her cleaning wand.
"...He's so cute."
Wynn covered her mouth.
"Oh my gosh."
Eria's expression softened.
"He looks like a giant puppy."
Albion stopped.
He looked toward them.
"I'm a Dragon."
Wynn nodded.
"Yes."
She smiled.
"A very dangerous Dragon."
Albion narrowed his eyes.
"Exactly."
Housekee walked closer.
"Can I pet him?"
Albion blinked.
"What?"
Housekee's eyes sparkled.
"Can I pet you?"
Albion looked at his father.
King Albion was already trying not to laugh.
Albion sighed.
"Fine."
Housekee immediately ran over.
She placed both hands on Albion's head.
"SO SOFT!"
Albion froze.
"Hey!"
Chame immediately joined her.
"Move over!"
"Wait, Chame!"
Chame rubbed Albion's head.
"He's actually really soft!"
Tillroo couldn't resist either.
She walked over and touched one of his wings.
Albion looked at her.
"Why is everyone touching me?"
Tillroo smiled.
"Because you're adorable."
Albion's ears lowered.
"I am not adorable."
Wynn walked over.
She gently scratched underneath his chin.
Albion's eyes immediately closed.
He started making a quiet rumbling sound.
Everyone froze.
Albion opened one eye.
"...Don't."
Wynn smiled.
"Was that a purr?"
"No."
Chame grinned.
"It was absolutely a purr."
"It wasn't."
Housekee hugged one of his front legs.
"It was!"
Albion looked increasingly embarrassed.
"I am a Dragon Prince!"
Eria laughed.
"And you're a ten-year-old Dragon Prince."
Albion looked at his father for help.
King Albion simply folded his arms.
"This is normal."
Albion stared at him.
"Dad."
"A young Dragon's first full transformation is often very cute."
"I'm not cute."
King Albion nodded seriously.
"Of course."
Albion narrowed his eyes.
"You're lying."
"Yes."
Albion sighed.
His tail slowly curled around himself.
The girls immediately made several quiet noises of approval.
Albion looked horrified.
"Stop doing that!"
King Albion laughed.
"Son, you're going to have to get used to this."
Albion looked down at his paws.
"Why?"
"Because you're ten."
A pause.
"And because you apparently inherited your mother's appearance."
Albion slowly looked toward Focalors.
She had arrived sometime during the commotion.
She was smiling warmly at her son.
Focalors walked over and gently placed a hand against Albion's snout.
"There you are."
Albion's eyes softened.
"Mom."
She smiled.
"You look just like I expected."
Albion looked at his Dragon Form again.
"Really?"
Focalors nodded.
"You're still young, so your Dragon Form hasn't fully matured yet."
King Albion added,
"As you grow, your body will become larger, your wings stronger, and your scales tougher."
Albion's eyes widened.
"So I'll get even stronger?"
"Yes."
Albion grinned.
"Awesome."
He suddenly spread his wings.
A gust of wind swept through the courtyard again.
Chame grabbed her hat.
"Albion!"
"Sorry!"
He quickly folded his wings.
Everyone laughed.
Albion smiled.
For the first time, he wasn't looking at his Dragon Form as something strange.
It was part of him.
His Human Form.
His Hybrid Form.
His Dragon Form.
Three sides of the same person.
Albion looked at his claws again.
Then he smiled.
'So this is what it feels like to be a Dragon.'
His tail wagged once.
Wynn immediately pointed.
"His tail is wagging!"
Albion froze.
"...No, it isn't."
"It absolutely is."
"It was the wind."
"There is no wind."
Albion looked at his father.
King Albion was laughing.
"Dad!"
"I didn't say anything."
"You're laughing!"
"Yes."
Albion covered his face with one claw.
"This is going to be embarrassing."
Focalors smiled.
"Welcome to being a young Dragon."
Albion sighed.
But despite himself...
His tail wagged again.
Once Albion had Tranfomed back he looked at Dharc and Asterion. "I don't think I am that cute?"
Dharc used a dark spell too show him how he looked
Albion blinked as he looked at the image.
"...."
He stared at the little white Dragon on the screen.
The Dragon had large blue eyes, fluffy white scales, oversized wings, tiny claws, and a tail curled around its body.
Albion slowly pointed at it.
"That's me?"
Dharc nodded.
"Yep."
Albion stared at the image again.
"No."
Asterion leaned over to look.
"Yeah, that's definitely you."
Albion shook his head.
"I don't look like that."
Dharc pointed at the image.
"You literally just transformed into that."
"I looked cooler in the Dragon form!"
Asterion scratched his chin.
"You did look cool."
Albion smiled.
"See?"
"But you also looked cute."
Albion's smile disappeared.
"...Oh."
Dharc couldn't hold it anymore.
He started laughing.
Albion looked at him.
"What's so funny?"
Dharc wiped a tear from his eye.
"Nothing. It's just funny watching you realize everyone was telling the truth."
Albion looked back at the image.
He stared at his own little Dragon face.
His ears lowered.
"...I really do look like that."
Asterion nodded.
"Yep."
Albion crossed his arms.
"That's unfair."
Dharc raised an eyebrow.
"How is that unfair?"
"I was expecting my Dragon Form to look terrifying."
Asterion laughed.
"You're ten."
"So?"
"You're a baby Dragon."
Albion's eyes widened.
"I'm not a baby!"
Dharc adjusted his glasses.
"Technically, compared to an adult Dragon, you are."
Albion looked offended.
"I can breathe Light!"
"Yes."
"I can fly!"
"Yes."
"I can use magic!"
"Yes."
"I can fight!"
"Yes."
Albion pointed at himself.
"Then I'm not a baby."
Asterion smiled.
"You can be all of those things and still be cute."
Albion opened his mouth.
Nothing came out.
He looked at the image again.
"...I hate this."
Dharc laughed.
"No, you don't."
Albion sighed.
"Maybe a little."
Asterion looked at the picture again.
"Honestly, I think your mother is going to love this."
Albion froze.
"Don't."
Dharc immediately understood.
"Oh."
Asterion grinned.
"She probably already has pictures."
Albion's expression slowly became horrified.
"Dad wouldn't."
Dharc shrugged.
"Your father?"
Asterion shook his head.
"He absolutely would."
Albion covered his face.
"I'm never transforming again."
Dharc laughed.
"You say that now."
Albion peeked through his fingers at the image.
"...Can you delete that?"
Dharc smiled.
"No."
"Dharc."
"No."
"Asterion."
Asterion immediately shook his head.
"I'm not getting involved."
Albion stared at both of them.
"You're supposed to be my friends."
Dharc smiled.
"We are."
Asterion nodded.
"That's why we're keeping the picture."
Albion groaned.
"I'm surrounded by traitors."
Asterion looked at Albion.
"If it makes you feel better, both Scarlet and I look cute too, since we're the same age as you."
Albion blinked.
"Really?"
Asterion nodded.
"Really."
He looked toward Scarlet.
"You ready?"
Scarlet smiled.
"Yeah."
The two of them stepped forward.
Their bodies began to glow.
Asterion's human form disappeared beneath a flash of white light.
His body grew larger.
Blue scales covered his body.
His arms became powerful legs.
A long tail formed behind him.
His wings spread outward.
His face changed into the familiar shape of a young Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
Asterion landed on the ground with a small thump.
At the same time, Scarlet's body began to glow red.
Her transformation was similar.
Red scales covered her body.
Her hands became claws.
Her wings spread behind her.
Her tail curled around her body.
A pair of horns appeared on her head.
A moment later, a young Red-Eyes Black Dragon stood beside Asterion.
Both Dragons looked much smaller than their adult forms.
Albion stared.
"..."
Dharc adjusted his glasses.
"Well?"
Albion slowly walked around them.
Asterion looked down at him.
"What?"
Albion pointed at Asterion.
"You really are small."
Asterion's eye twitched.
"I'm ten."
"I know."
Albion then looked at Scarlet.
Scarlet tilted her head.
"What?"
"You're small too."
Scarlet snorted.
"So are you."
Albion paused.
"...Fair."
Dharc started laughing.
"Look at you three."
Albion turned toward him.
"What?"
Dharc pointed at the three young Dragons.
"You're all supposed to be terrifying Dragon monsters."
Asterion puffed out his chest.
"I am terrifying."
Scarlet nodded.
"Absolutely terrifying."
Albion nodded seriously.
"Very terrifying."
Dharc stared at them.
Asterion's wings were slightly too big for his body.
Scarlet's tail was curled around her feet.
Albion's ears had lowered slightly while his tail slowly swayed behind him.
Dharc smiled.
"Sure."
Asterion narrowed his eyes.
"Don't laugh."
"I'm not."
"You're smiling."
"That's different."
Scarlet looked at Albion.
"See? You're not the only one."
Albion looked between them.
Then he looked at himself.
Then at Asterion.
Then Scarlet.
"...Okay."
He smiled.
"Maybe being a young Dragon isn't so bad."
Asterion nodded.
"Exactly."
Scarlet folded her wings.
"Besides, we'll all grow eventually."
Albion's eyes brightened.
"That's true."
He suddenly spread his wings.
"Then someday we'll all be huge."
Asterion spread his own wings.
"Yep."
Scarlet did the same.
"Definitely."
The three young Dragons stood together.
A white Dragon.
A Blue-Eyes White Dragon.
And a Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Dharc stared at them for a moment.
"...You know what?"
Albion looked at him.
"What?"
Dharc smiled.
"You three actually look pretty cool together."
Albion grinned.
"See?"
Asterion nodded proudly.
"Told you."
Scarlet gave a small roar.
The other two joined her.
"ROOOAR!"
The sound echoed across the courtyard.
Dharc covered his ears.
"Okay! Cute and loud!"
Albion blinked.
"...Cute?"
Dharc smirked.
"Very."
Albion's wings drooped.
"Never mind."
Asterion burst out laughing.
Scarlet laughed too.
And for once, Albion didn't argue.
He just looked at the two Dragons beside him.
'Maybe this isn't so bad after all.'
