Today, Luna received many phone calls, quite unlike the days before when her phone might remain silent for days, making her seem as if she lived in a bygone era.
Quietly reading, she would occasionally talk to Lucas's photo, and her life was as calm as a lake without ripples.
But now, Avery Jane answered the phone.
"Avery Jane, it's Beckett Wright."
His voice was clean and warm; Beckett Wright and Wenyard Cooper were similar in that they concentrated on their work and relished it. Such people have a serenity and beauty about them, much like Beckett's eyes.
"Hello, Mr. Wright."
The anxiety in Avery Jane's heart slowly eased, perhaps because Beckett had a certain essence similar to Lucas, making her feel relaxed upon hearing his voice.
