Ch78 Castle carpet
Looking around the castle manor as they were on the second floor honestly the building kind of reminded Shinya of one thing more than anything.
It reminded him of super Mario 64 and the layout of that game as it had the same red like robe on the bottom of it. It stretched all the way across the second floor that was flooded with rooms on end as it was a long hallway with a couple rooms at the end.
With going down the stairs it could be seen barrels in the bottom of the stairs along with bookcases full of books and several other trinkets and things of those sorts.
"Well honestly just where can we go from here right let's just go down right? "Said Irene with Shinya just nodding and agreeing with her.
They went down the stairs with the soft red carpet and eventually arrived at the front of the room it was two wide doors perhaps this would take them somewhere else as they tried to open the doors but to no avail.
Using all their strength to try and open the door with Irene pushing as hard as she could as Shinya was more than entertained the whole time.
"Pffff move out the way Lemme show you how it is."Said Shinya as she moved him out of the way and opened the door well, he tried to, but it wouldn't open for him either.
"Yeah, see it's not as easy as you thought huh "Said Irene now laughing at shinya.
"Just get over here and help me already," said Shinya
Both pushing with all their strength to try and open the door. It was at this time that Shinya decided to look closer at the door and realized just the strange inscriptions and how tall it was perhaps 10-12 feet tall it seemed bigger than for regular humans it only made him question things more.
Feeling the stone-cold walls of the door as they pushed on the large circle shaped handles slowly the doors began to open.
Realizing they were slowly making progress they both opened it increasingly till eventually they were able to squeeze their body through it ultimately causing a massive squeaking sound as the door opened.
Looking around now Shinya could tell they were in a living room of sorts as he saw all sorts of knight's armor being hanged up and displayed everywhere. He saw the dead bodies of the skin of multiple types of animal's tigers and bears fur all over the ground. Seeing pillars all around him made of marble along with no windows at all in the room Though the most puzzling thing was the fireplace that could be seen directly across from them as they opened the door.
Along with the fireplace was a massive table with a man sitting in a chair in the corner of the table staring directly at the fireplace. It gave him an essence of almost still like figure.
Both Shinya and Irene just admired the man for a second as this was the first person that wasnt a marshmallow or choclate like man and seemed like a normal human that wasn't one of the tournament contestants.
It was a strange thing to see Afterall though Shinya and Irene weren't puzzled by it after a few seconds as Irene was the first to speak up.
"Hey uhm man what are you doing?" Said Irene with heavy hesitation in her voice.
"I don't know how you evil pilgrims got in here, but I think it's time for you to die this is no place for your kind "Said the man now standing up in front of the fire and starting to turn around they could see his actual features.
Dressed in a knight's armor with a knight's attire with long blonde hair and a scraggly thick beard and bright blue eyes but with a heavy-set frame clearly showing he had let himself go. With a long sword to the side of him and his deep grey armor that he even had a belt attached to it. With a tall stature possibly even 8 feet tall his presence alone showered over Shinya and Irene.
It was very clear he was a knight of the medieval times it was a crazy thing to see in real life.
As he began to get closer with each step sounding like the hooves of a horse on cement or mud the heavy steps echoed on the floor. The floorboards creaked and wavered for help as if his body was too much pressure.
Just then Irene did the most unimaginable thing.
"Shinya leave him to me I need you to continue in the mansion and find the king it's up to you I trust you,"Said Irene.
"What, what do you mean it's up to me? That doesn't even make sense you can't take him all on your own! "Said Shinya with a strong tone in his voice trying to show the fact of the matter of the situation.
Irene completely ignoring it as she slowly started to grab out her steampunk equipment for her legs from her pants. Shinya not even questioning how that worked as now wasn't the time.
"Look Shinya I know what type of man this is he's like my father let me deal with this and you go on I promise this place will not be the death of me so have trust in me Shinya. "Said Irene looking straight into Shinya's soul so he would understand the truth.
"Fuck. Fine I'll keep going" said Shinya hesitantly as he continued to move on past Irene through another hallway pass the room they were in.
Going back to Irene now time to focus on her for a bit.
"Well, it seems today is the day you meet your creator, daughter of satan." Said the knight
Irene not even saying anything back just getting ready to fight.
